Now National Grid warns of a greater risk of BLACKOUTS in Britain this winter because electricity supplies will be 'tight' after undersea cable fire - as Putin drives up gas prices, inflation soars and supply chain crisis threatens food shortages

Industry leaders called for 'urgent action' after the National Grid warned electricity supplies would be 'tight'..

...

Latest sign of a grim winter outlook for UK with economy clobbered by rising inflation and supply chain issues..

The supply of electricity to Britain this winter will be 'tight' and there is a greater risk of blackouts, the National Grid warned today - as soaring energy prices leave families facing sky- high bills.

...

Gas is in high demand due to the reopening of the global economy, colder temperatures, and reduced wind and solar output due to unfavourable conditions.

...

Omni Energy has said it expects to become the 13th UK energy supplier to go bust this year

...

Intel has warned that a shortages of chips is set to continue into Christmas and 'there may be a few IOUs under the Christmas trees around the world this year;

...

the cost of supermarket staples such as pasta, tinned food and meats have all risen by up to 44% as inflation grips supermarkets;

...

As a gloomy winter approaches, petrol is still scarce and prices are up, food prices are increasing, house prices are growing and taxes such as national insurance and council tax are also about to go up all faster than wages. The cost of electricity and gas is also hitting power hungry industries such as steel, glass and chemicals, meaning consumers will soon be paying more for a huge number of products including cars, building materials and even toilet roll.

...

Electricity prices are also rising, not helped by the amount generated from renewables dropping due to low winds and a poor summer for sunshine.

Britons could see their energy bills rise by 30% next year, analysts have said, as suppliers are predicted to 'fall like dominoes'.

You can stick solar and wind up your .........

If something works, you don't annihilate it.

To every person in the northern hemisphere that finds themselves freezing and/or dying this Winter, remember, your own government did this to you. Also remember, there's a good chance that you voted for that government.

Enjoy!

I remember how appalled the foreign policy establishment was when Trump went after the head of NATO at a media event. Trump asked that why, if NATO was formed as a defensive alliance against Russia, is Russia now controlling the oil flow into Germany and Europe? Why even have NATO?

That’s what happens under global warming fakery and energy socialism.

Britain is facing supply constraints following a fire which knocked out a key subsea cable that brought electricity from France, the UK’s top electricity supplier.

The blaze halted electricity imports via the 2,000 megawatt power cable, half of which is not expected to be available until March 2022.

“The Biden regime is Putin’s best friend.”

Better friends than enemies with Russia, especially now that we created China and have to deal with them.

But even so, it’s fun to say what you said on Leftist sites...they just can’t deal with it.

This can’t be a problem, warming due to climate change will make natgas irrelevant.

Or so the british have been saying for years now.

Freeze in the dark, morons.

I wanted to find out what that cable fire was all about, but got nothing from the link.

It does sound, from the text on wind, solar and soaring prices, like they have finally figured out how to make money on the weather, though.

I think the fire was at a “connector station” which is above ground, but which controls the cable capacity.

The UK fired up an old coal power plant to meet its electricity needs.. as the wind mills can not keep up.

Europe could be forced to burn more coal this winter ..

You are so right and until more folks take your initiative and start calling these losers out for what they are & have done nothing will ever change. Many, too many people fail to get informed before they cast a ballot.

Plus, our side fails to make our opponents and their supporters pay for their bad choices. We are seeing this change with the new generation of politicians on our side who see that we need to make our opponents live by the rules they enact.

Whether we win lose or draw, one thing we have failed to learn until recently is the process can be the punishment. Make them squeal from having to follow insane regulations, sue them at every turn and put them on the defense on every issue.

Apply the Flynn Method to all of the Marxists, bankrupt them making them lawyer-up on multiple fronts. Belittle their actions publicly, make their political lives miserable. Turnabout is fair play.

Typical schizophrenia of the day. They militate for fake problems of global warming, and when the real one of actual oil shortage comes up they cry.

Big businesses think they are somehow immune from this, and that it is only to affect the plebes like us. When my company had to shut down machines because of lack of plastic for molding, they went into a real rationing and worry moment instead of their feel good recycle horsesht

Bunch of morons

No small feat restarting a coal fired plant. The equipment in those plant likes to run, when they sit idle all kinds of bad things happen.
