Los Angeles leaders on Wednesday approved one of the nation's strictest vaccine mandates - a sweeping measure that would require the shots for everyone entering bars, restaurants, nail salons, gyms or even a Lakers game.
The City Council voted 11-2 in favor of the ordinance that will require proof of full vaccination by Nov. 4.
The move came after the council postponed a vote last week to deal with concerns ranging from who could be fined for violations to whether employees could end up in fist-fights when they have to serve as vaccine door monitors.
Some critics charge that a mandate would amount to segregation of those who cannot or refuse to be vaccinated. Others call it unenforceable.

City council members in LA make 210K a year.(Plus largesse and graft). They are set. Set enough to run this power play without consequence.
LA is already full of a lot of tired, grumpy, easily irritated people of all colors and backgrounds. Somehow I think this is going to either fail or bring out the very worst possible outcome.
While 210K is a chunk of change in much of the country, it would be not so much in NYC. I imagine the LA taxes are lower and so is the cost of living, but it isn’t 400K.
Of course, they have loads of illegals to serve as hired help.

And they look to be mostly white people. I’d say they’re racist trying to keep blacks, who dont want the vaccine, out of public places.

I heard on KTLA 5 news this morning that 8% of Angelinos are vaccinated. Ha! The vaccine push is not working. The Los Angeles Catholic Church is pushing the vaccine with the help of Jorge Bergoglio, Archbishop Gomez and Cardinal Loser in Mexico City. Yes, the pretenders promote “science, facts and a the common good” while ignoring the damage and profits made by vaccines.

I live in North Orange County. These days, I rarely cross the Orange Curtain into LA County, where everyone wears masks.
