Cedillo's deputy district director Jose Rodriquez told the outlet that the MS-13 gang was interfering with efforts to clear the encampment and offer temporary housing to the homeless in hotels and motels.

The DOJ has stated that parents objecting at school board meetings about COVID mandates and CRT are domestic terrorists but MS-13 can dictate to the LA city government.

Yeah, but some of them are illegal immigrants.

They have the ear of our elected officials.

It’s the Citizens who don’t.

Soon, not only will the MS-13 be demanding that the park be left alone for their use, but will want some improvements and development, so it is nicer for them. And the LA officials will probably go right along with it, so as not to be “racist” or whatever. Then MS-13 will thrive, and someone will defund the police, and soon, it will be just like Mexico all over LA.

The least they could do is issue them paychecks for the quality social services they are providing.

What a crazy world. A street gang is offended we are encroaching on their turf by cleaning out a homeless camp???

And so we don’t offend the street gany, we decide not to clean up that God forsaken homeless camp, so that that street gang can continue to do God knows what on their turf.

I can’t believe what we see happening sometimes.

It's a safe bet that senior citizens no longer go to the park to play checkers. That was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh no!

It’s already pretty much like Mexico all over Los Angeles.

One could argue Los Angeles County isn’t quite as bad, but
Los Angeles the city is done.

I forget the stats now, but of the adults living in the city,
less than half can function in business level English.

Here is an article I looked up, that reveals the situation
in California has a whole, and farther down the city of LA
in particular.

Look at those numbers. These are people that some Leftists
will lament didn’t have access to college.

Note the numbers for Blacks. It’s honestly tragic. These
kids don’t have a prayer of succeeding.

I grew up in Southern California is the 50s. Great place to be a kid. Yes there were seedy parts of L.A. back then, but there weren’t very many dangerous places. I’d ride the P.E. (Pacific Electric/Red Cars) up to L.A. from Long Beach and back by myself and never be bothered by anybody. The L.A. terminal was pretty much in the middle of skid row, but it was still safe.

People sometimes bad-mouth the 50s, but at least in SoCal, things were much better then, than they are today. The idea that a gang could make the city back down on an attempt to clear out a bunch of bums, sorry, a homeless encampment just seems hard to believe.

Didn’t they use to rent boats to sail on the lake at MacArthur Park? It used to be a pretty nice place.

the MS-13 gang, which considers the park their territory

************

Possession is 9/10 of ownership. It IS their territory.

Gang/mob rule is coming to more towns near you.

And those numbers that seem to have improved from 2015 to 2019 are most likely to reflected inflated grading for budget purposes as are the pre-2015 numbers.

Beyond sad, it’s tragic.
