The effectiveness of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine falls below 50 percent after five months, according to a new study published in The Lancet medical journal on Oct. 4.
The study (pdf), which was funded by Pfizer, aimed to evaluate the overall variant-specific effectiveness of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine against CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus infections and COVID-19-related hospital admissions over time.
Researchers analyzed electronic health records of more than 3.4 million men and women who were members of the health care organization Kaiser Permanente Southern California between Dec. 14, 2020 and Aug. 8, 2021, and assessed the vaccine effectiveness up to six months after they were inoculated.
They found that the Pfizer vaccine was 88 percent effective in the first month after full vaccination but dropped to 47 percent effectiveness after five months.
The vaccine was also found to be highly effective against the Delta variant, providing 93 percent effectiveness in the first month after full vaccination but declining to 53 percent after four months.
By comparison, effectiveness against other non-Delta variants was 97 percent after a month and declined to 67 percent after four to five months, according to the study.
Effectiveness against Delta-related hospital admission remained high at 93 percent for up to six months, the researchers said.
Researchers said that the reduction in effectiveness was likely due to waning immunity over the period of time since the individual was given the second shot as opposed to the Delta strain.
“Our results provide support for high effectiveness of BNT162b2 against hospital admissions up until around six months after being fully vaccinated, even in the face of widespread dissemination of the Delta variant,” the researchers wrote.
“Reduction in vaccine effectiveness against SARS-CoV-2 infections over time is probably primarily due to waning immunity with time rather than the Delta variant escaping vaccine protection.”
“Our results reiterate in a real-world U.S. setting that vaccination with [the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine] remains an essential tool for preventing COVID-19, especially COVID-19-associated hospital admissions, caused by all current variants of concern,” they added.
The latest Pfizer-funded study comes one day after a separate BioRxiv study published on Monday that found that antibody levels generated by two shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine can undergo up to a 10-fold decrease seven months following the second vaccination.
The research, which is yet to be peer reviewed, noted that the drop in antibody levels will compromise the body’s ability to defend itself against COVID-19 if the individual becomes infected.
The study focused on 56 healthy participants who had received two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. The participants’ blood was tested once after receiving the second vaccination and once again after six months.
Researchers suggested administering a third booster shot as a measure to improve vaccine efficacy.
Both studies reiterate findings from Pfizer and BioNTech that were released in July showing that vaccine effectiveness dropped from 96 percent to 84 percent over six months.
The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is the most widely used in the United States. More than 226 million doses have been administered as of Sept. 30, versus 151 million Moderna shots and 15 million from Johnson & Johnson.
The study of medicare patients released last week said the vaccines don’t even protect against hospitalization very well after a few months. Fully 60% of the 65+ age cohort that are being hospitalized are “fully vaccinated”... that sounds like a fail to me. The government has no business mandating this.

The Pfizer vaccine must be stored at extremely low temperatures and the vials cannot be “restocked” after thawing . Have to wonder with so many small pharmacies and clinics giving this vaccine if it is being stored and handled properly. People may be receiving worthless injections.
More and more data is piling up that this was a mistaken approach.
the out of control egos of the medical bureaucracy and the political class need to stop making the same mistake over and over.
ready shoot aim
shot first, testing later
Right the vaccine isn’t a failure, the people adminstering it are the problem
Yet the same people supposedly failing are perfectly competent to follow the rigorous requirements to dispense class three narcotics
Let stop trying to rationalize and admit the vaccine approach is not working
Fewer people dies when Trump was President then have dies since Biden took office. This approach is not working.
this is outrageous.
insufficient testing.
lies of “safety”.

The most charitable take on this - and I don’t even really believe this is the whole truth - is that they decided early on to put all their eggs in the vaccine basket. That’s why they rushed the vaccines, and no early treatments were allowed, and that’s why they are pushing so hard for universal vaccination, because it’s the only way their approach works.
But as the studies are showing, it’s not going to work this way. The vaccines fail after six months, they are never going to keep up with the variants. And most impoirtantly, they are never going to get 80% of us vaccinated with the latest shot all at the same time. So either they give in and start letting the early treatments get approved, or they stubbornly stick with the “booster shot” approach until coronavirus mutates away into something harmless.

The last statement contradicts other recent studies and flies in the face of numerous well known celebrity cases and peoples’ personal experiences. I wonder why? I personally know three young healthy people who came down with “Delta” approximately a month after their second Pfizer shot. And how about the “fully vaccinated” “Texas delegation” who managed to give “Delta” to dozens of “fully vaccinated” politicians and their aides. This happened in July; the parties were involved were mostly relying on Pfizer and most were in the window when Pfizer according to this study is most effective.
This bought and paid for study is highly suspect and meant only to increase the billions of dollars that Pfizer continues to rake in by encouraging repeated “booster shots”. The Pfizer jab seemed to have worked against the original Fauci/CCP gain of function version of Covid but is now obviously almost completely ineffective against “Delta” and other recent variants.
“Effectiveness against Delta-related hospital admission remained high at 93 percent for up to six months, the researchers said.”
What are the levels of B - Cell and T - Cell creation?
A shot that has to be re-administered every 6 months to 7.62 billion people (i.e a 100% vaccination rate) to be effective is not a workable solution to the Covid problem
We need to stop lying to ourselves that it can be
“I personally know three young healthy people who came down with “Delta” approximately a month after their second Pfizer shot.”
To be fair I should have mentioned that only one of the people I know who came down with “Delta” after getting the Pfizer vaccine had any symptoms. Everyone in the office where one of them worked had been vaccinated, but several ended up testing positive for Covid a month later. That person apparently was the source of Covid in the other two that I know personally. They had no symptoms but were tested because of their contact with him.
Pfizer: Having made billions on an ineffective vaccine, we are pleased to announce the introduction of our equally ineffective booster. Further boosters will be introduced each 6 months. Thank you for complying.
“Effectiveness against Delta-related hospital admission remained high at 93 percent for up to six months, the researchers said.”
That is because Pfizer typically creates symptomless “super-spreaders”... killing grandparents everywhere. What a worthy achievement for this government funded experiment.
That's not what the medicare study found.

In a simplistic sense, one has to wonder if the mRNA vaccines targeted the virus itself (the base architecture) or simply the specific spike protein of the original variant that ran its course because they are clearly not working well against the Delta variant.
For those frustrated with our nationally recommended supportive care plan they should study the response of Fauci to AIDS long ago. They denied therapeutics in favor of a vaccine and “supportive care”.
Now we are going to witness big pharma pushing therapeutic pills that will consist of protease inhibitors and maybe a zinc ionophore.
Ivermectin is a protease inhibitor
HCQ is a zinc ionophore (as is quercetin)
Makes one wonder.....
