Dr. Anthony Fauci is facing backlash after he insisted that it was “too soon” to tell whether the COVID-19 pandemic would disrupt this year’s Christmas holiday gatherings.
In an interview Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation,” the White House chief medical adviser was asked whether groups could get together to celebrate the holiday.
“It is just too soon to tell. We have to concentrate on continuing to get those numbers down and not try to jump ahead by weeks or months and say what we’re going to do at a particular time,” Fauci said.
But his response was slammed by Republican leaders, who called him a “scrooge.

But it’s not at all too soon - with no evidence - to claim that the hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens being imported every month and not vaccinated or tested are not contributing at all to the “pandemic.” That’s his claim. What crap!

I would hope so. Trump could have -- and should have -- removed Fauci from his position as Director of NIAID. What Trump did do, which was to have Fauci insinuate himself into his Administration's pandemic response, was a grotesque blunder.
Here's an inconvenient truth that many won't accept: we're where we are right now due to the incompetence of Trump and his people in handling the pandemic from the get-go. As soon as Fauci got involved, the die was cast.
I’ve been ignoring everything he says since he switched gears from not needing to wear a mask to needing to wear one. That was about 18 months ago.

You aren’t wrong, but people here don’t like it mentioned. The huge blunder of turning his entire presidency over to Fauci and Birx, because he thought he would get credit for taking action. By the time Trump finally realized his error, it was far too late.
Divide the united, cause economic chaos, create uncertainty in every direction, open the borders, spend money like drunken lotto winners, restrict travel and movement, all while peddling fear 24/7.
