Parents are outraged after discovering that a man who has been volunteering inside their children’s northern California elementary school for two years is a registered sex offender.
KRCR-TV reported 36-year-old Sean Green had been working at Columbia Elementary School in Redding, California, until just last week.
District Superintendent Clay Ross explained in a message to parents that Green fell through the cracks because the school relied only on using his fingerprints when it conducted a background investigation.

This is PC gone amok. Men should not be in elementary schools. No “man” wants to watch little kids. Unless it is a PE teacher, like some ex-jock who didn’t have the grades to teach high school, there is no F-ing way that an elementary school should allow an adult male, non-parent into their building.
I say this about baby-sitters also. There are morons that have teenage boys babysit kids. No way.

You’re wrong about no man wanting to volunteer with kids. A few good family men and some bachelors have been great in boy scouts, and big brothers. (I am not challenging the need for screening, nor the idiocy of allowing perverts to bb screened in and not screened out.)
I was a voulnteer tutor at a private Christian school. Am I some kind of pervert? How about all the male doctors and nurses at a hospital for children?

Sean C. Green, 30, of Mineral City, and formerly of Dover, was granted judicial release Monday by Tuscarawas County Common Pleas Judge Elizabeth Lehigh Thomakos.
Green served about 13 months of his 42-month sentence at the Noble Correctional Institution in Caldwell for charges of two counts of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, both first-degree felonies; and pandering obscenity involving a minor, a fourth-degree felony.
Now, Green is being held in the Tuscarawas County Jail until a space is made available for him at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center where he will undergo a sex offender program for up to six months.

I understand your point, but I don’t believe I’m wrong. I’m talking about a school, not the Boy Scouts. I coach youth sports, but I had sons that went through the sports program. No one thinks its weird for me to continue to want to coach youth sports. The Boy Scouts are the same. If you were a Boy Scout, or you were a leader, I see know issue with continuing to assist. The common thing here is that these are “guy things.”
I know of no man who wants to watch a bunch of second graders in school. You are just inviting pedophiles. To be clear, I understand that there might be some guy out there who is not a pedophile and would like to volunteer in a school. However, we should not risk the safety of children in the name of PC.
