Go Blue Jays! Go Mariners!
“Look for my MLB Annual Postseason Predictions”
Please ping me on it, if you don’t mind. I’d like to see them.
“The MLB is dead to me”
Who cares? If you’re not interested in the topic, why waste time posting on it?
Because, seriously, no one cares.
“When they started lecturing me about how evil I was as a white Christian male”
The MLB did? That’s news to me. When did it happen and who said what about white Christian males?
I know for a fact there are many, many Christians on various MLB teams.
“melodramatic queens are more upsetting to me.”
So are name calling hyperbolic imbeciles.
You bet.
If Impy starts an MLB Playoff thread it’ll probably be on there as well.
I don’t patronize politicians, sports/athletes, companies or anyone else that routinely throws their wokeaz beliefs in my face.
Being I do this privately where the only one aware of my behavior is my wife, it can hardly be considered “virtue signaling”.
You wanna support these entities with your time and money, knock yourself out.
Do *you* kneel when he hear the National Anthem? Given the Executive Order that W issued years ago I,as a veteran of the Armed Forces, salute. But...different strokes for different folks.
This should be fun. Do the Angels switch their rotation and start Ohtani against the Mariners?
My two favorite teams are going head to head today. Love Ohtani and the Angels, but Go Mariners! And come on, Nats! Can’t you take just one from Boston?
I see. How to you see the MLB involved with BLM activity outside the stadium? Let’s say the Red Sox team didn’t like it. What could they do about it?
well stated!
“Glad to hear that you enjoy being told...over,and over, and over again...just how evil you are”
No one has ever told me that.
I used to be a red Sox van through and through, waited many years for them to win after the curse, but after they went full on gay, and blm support, I don’t watch them anymore. J used to .ook forward to the Sox playoffs, but they ruined it for me with all their woke crap
I think if Aaron Boone doesn’t produce this post season - if they get there - There is going to be immense pressure to get rid of him.
What are you talking about? Privately? You just did it in a chat room! Thats not private. Sheesh. If you don’t want to watch, thats fine. Your choice. When you lecture the rest of us on why you don’t? Textbook virtue signaling.
Agreed. His contract is up at the end of this season, and many fans think, if the Yanks don’t have a deep playoff run, he will be let go.
That’s how sports is. If managers and coaches don’t produce results, changes are made. I haven’t followed too closely, but apparently the Yankees have some great talent on that team, but will have to survive the one game wild card playoffs to advance, not even winning their division this year.
I’ve heard some fans lament, that it’s too bad you can’t fire the owner, and some owners such as Dan Snyder of the Washington former Redskins is disliked by many of their fans.
Their woke BS was bad enough, but when MLB(LM) decided to blackmail a state over the legislation they wanted to pass, it was "game over" for me.
Last game of the season, I was in the bleachers at Fenway Park when the Red Sox had to beat Toronto and the Yankees had to lose to the Indians to force a playoff game the next day.
That all happened and the next day was the infamous game of Bucky Dent. I was not at Fenway that day as I had school and work - I was working at Cerretani's supermarket in Revere when the Bucky Dent home run was hit. The radio cast of the game was playing over the intercom. Most of the shoppers didn't care as they would have been watching the game at home if they did. Mostly housewives at that hour - some of them still in curlers even though it was late in the afternoon.
The great Carl Yastrzemski (still alive and kicking today) had a chance to be the hero as he came up with two on base in the 9th with the score 5-4 but popped up lazily to the third baseman to end the game. All Yastrzemski needed was a base hit and he would have been up there with Bobby Orr and Tom Brady in the Boston sports scene. Oh well.
That game was actually 43 years ago yesterday. How time flies.
