Following a dramatic week on Capitol Hill, a moderate Democratic senator from Arizona slammed leaders of her own party over their 'inexcusable' failure to hold a vote on the $1.2 trillion bipartisan infrastructure plan.
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema — one of the key holdouts on the budget bill — took to Twitter Saturday, calling the canceled vote 'deeply disappointing' and a betrayal of the trust of the American people.
'The failure of the U.S. House to hold a vote on the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act is inexcusable, and deeply disappointing for communities across our country,' Sinema wrote.

Come on Kyrsten....change parties.
From what I've gathered over the past few years, she is playing the game for the long haul and we're stuck with her until she is out maneuvered by someone better. Given that Arizona has a long and pitiful record of putting up milquetoast republican candidates who can't campaign their way out of a wet paper bag, she's going to be a thing for a long time. Best to cheer her on when she is doing the right thing, even if it's not for a good reason.
Arizona is a crazy mixed-up place for politics to ‘work’. You need to make conservative retirees, a significant population of Latinos, urban yuppies, and a low-income middle-class happy. Outside of Tucson and Phoenix....the rest of the state is small-town Americana or rural. Without any major industry, the state is totally dependent on tourism to work.

Why isn’t the media praising her as a maverick? Strange.
Excellent point!!!!
She be lauded and put on every national televised tv station and given the mink glove treatment, while being gushed over for standing up to her own!!!
Simema, Gabbard and sometimes Manchin. Are they the only sane Democrats?
You’d be pleased to hear we are attracting more and more technology based businesses to the area. Intel is even expanding operations in the valley. As long as California continues its descent into madness, Arizona will remain one the targeted “safe spaces” for industries that want to still be in business 5 years from now.
Someone PLEASE remind me where all the $$$$ went that Obama administration voted for for “infrastructure”.
IIRC, ALL we got were signs where Obama was taking credit for contracts funded when he was in short pants.
Very similar to what I’ve been saying, which is “I thought all of this was fixed when Joe was VP. If it didn’t work then why would it work now?”
