A casually dressed President Joe Biden acknowledged frustrations as Democrats strain to rescue a scaled-back version of his $3.5 trillion government-overhaul plan and salvage a related public works bill after frantic negotiations failed to produce a deal.
'Everybody´s frustrated, it´s part of being in government, being frustrated,' Biden told reporters before leaving the White House for a weekend stay at his home in Wilmington, Delaware.
He pledged to 'work like hell' to get the two pillars of his domestic agenda passed into law, but refrained from laying out a new deadline.

Remember the original bill was $2.3 tril. The $3.5 appeared out of nowhere....so let's say...They were then pushing for $5.8.
The end game...$1.2 tril plus $1.5 Tril = $2.7 tril. But they'll talk Manchin up to $1.8 tril to make an even $3 tril.
We are so screwed because once any of their dream programs are in place, you'll NEVER get rid of them. Free college?? Free babysitting? 12 weeks PAID leave....

Close. As I see their game plan : get ALL the programs in place with starter funds ; leave nothing out. Once they become official policy, there is no stopping them. In the following budgets, these new full blown socialist programs will be “fully funded” and the US will become a full socialist nation, with Federalized elections and one official party rule, under the “progressives”.
