The Decoupling Party

~Increasingly, America's two parties agree on almost everything that matters. It was the Uniparty, for example, that agreed to offshore American manufacturing and make China the dominant global power. Everything mass is made in China, everything boutique (Italian shoes, French cheese, English shirts, drinkable beer) is made in Europe, and Americans don't get a piece of either action. Think of the supply-chain disruptions of the last year and a half - the new automobiles sitting unsold at the plant for want of Chinese microchips - and you realize that Beijing no longer even needs to pull off the old EMP attack over the Mississippi River: They can bring us to our knees any time they want.

So the good news is we won't be losing the next war. The bloated US military which is already (in the dreary Britannic cliché) "not fit for purpose" - indeed, not fit for any purpose other than the self-enrichment of military-industrial hacks - will never be permitted to fight any war that conflicts with China's national interest.

In a functioning multiparty system, you'd do what Nigel Farage did in the UK and form a single-issue party to decouple from China. But the sclerotic political duopoly that has frozen the same-old-same-old in place since the Civil War does not allow such nimble innovations. Yet it's vitally necessary.

Yes that struck me too. Drinkable beer comes from Europe? The implication being that American beers aren’t drinkable???? LOL.

China owns the debt and the factories.

IOW they own us. We are the serfs who pay the debt. And its interest.

Mexico also produces some fine, drinkable beer.

China is a paper tiger…economic hardship is coming for them. Their costs of production are climbing and they won’t be able to produce cheap goods and services. Their winter is coming, just as it did for Japan before them.

I consider myself blessed in being 76 years old. I won’t have to live through much more of this.

I am ashamed that it was the gutter politicians and “educators” from my generation that created it. Without my permission.

Chinese microchips?

The communist Chinese suck at computer chips.

The overwhelming majority of chips come from Taiwan. Probably one of the main reasons the ChiComs cast an envious eye towards Taiwan.

The Taiwanese are smart....they are building a $25 Billion plant in Arizona to make those computer chips.

Why aren’t we building it?

He states...” the self-enrichment of military-industrial hacks - will never be permitted to fight any war that conflicts with China’s national interest”......

Under Obama/Biden Administration that is a certainty!

Good question!

I guess because corporate America is more concerned about Critical Race Theory and hiring trannies and feigning worry about non-existent climate change.

Styner states......”Wokeism is the abolition of everything - of Westphalian precepts such as borders and citizenship, and of a civilizational inheritance transmitted down the generations. The American past will be utterly destroyed, leaving only a temporary void in which a new post-American narrative will arise...... Perhaps it will be like Montpelier: aging NPR-listening white liberals cooing with the glow of self-admiration as a few Guatemalan landscapers and retired Somali warlords line up at City Hall to vote for Transgender Appreciation Month........

Or perhaps it will be a bloody, violent, Third World hellhole like nothing we’ve ever seen before.”

We have experienced the THEFT of our nation.

It is one thing, albeit horrific, for do-gooders to seek to control every aspect of our lives for our own supposed good.

It is quite another, and a much more horrific thing, for these do-gooders to actually take these actions motivated by HATE rather than their pretended concern for our well-being.

The Party (i.e. uniparty) is full of aspiring tyrants who discovered long ago that there was wealth to be had and power to be grabbed by siphoning off the wealth of our nation and handing it to our foreign foes.

There is no pain on this earth sufficient enough to render justice upon these traitors. For that there must be a hell.

Much as I like & enjoy Mark Styne, he is wrong about the American political system — he fancies a single issue third party similar to tbe Brits’ Brexit people.
Sure, that might work well in Britain’s system, but not here, not ever.

Our system requires two viable parties, and if conservative Republicans split off third party, all it does is hand the country over permanently to Democrsts.

Now true radicals would say “fine, let the Democrats destroy America so we can build it back beter...

Come again?? “Build back better?”
Where did I hear that before?

The fact is, we are not radicals, we are conservatives and our job is to preserve as much as possible of our cultural, religious and political inheritance.
So the place to assert our values is not a third party, but rather in Republican primaries.

That’s our only hope.
And you can forget about moving to Canada, Australia or New Zealand, those places have already gone insane.
America is our mountain to fight or die on...

What gets me is that so many patriotic, capitalist loving freepers supported and defended the free trade deals with the communists, which went against everything we claim to believe in.

“Why aren’t we building it?”

Your answer is one line above your question: They’re building it because they’re smart. We’re NOT building it because we’re idiots.

Everything mass is made in China, everything boutique (Italian shoes, French cheese, English shirts, drinkable beer) is made in Europe, and Americans don't get a piece of either action.

That's all low-level, insignificant action anyhow. America holds the ultimate trump card that will shut the mouths of kings, but who's paying attention to the joker? Everyone's piling on because it's too easy. Just look at her. The city on the hill saves others but can't save herself.

The American past will be utterly destroyed, leaving only a temporary void ("The Chapel") in which a new post-American narrative will arise. Perhaps it will be like Montpelier: aging NPR-listening white liberals cooing with the glow of self-admiration as a few Guatemalan landscapers and retired Somali warlords line up at City Hall to vote for Transgender Appreciation Month.

Or perhaps it will be a bloody, violent, Third World hellhole like nothing we've ever seen before.

Or:

Deus ex machina (/ˌdeɪəs ɛks ˈmækɪnə, - ˈmɑːk-/ DAY-əs ex-MA(H)K-in-ə,[1] Latin: [ˈdɛ.ʊs ɛks ˈmaːkʰɪnaː]; plural: dei ex machina; English "god out of the machine")[2][3] is a plot device whereby a seemingly unsolvable problem in a story is suddenly and abruptly resolved by an unexpected and unlikely occurrence.[4][5] Its function is generally to resolve an otherwise irresolvable plot situation, to surprise the audience, to bring the tale to a happy ending, or act as a comedic device.[6]
