And Joe Bastardi has pointed out that the “increase” in the number of hurricanes is because that tropical storms and hurricanes that are born, live, and die withOUT ever touching land, are now being counted, whereas they were NOT counted a decade or two ago.

Thus, pro-warming weather folks have changed the ground rules for declaring a hurricane in order to get an increase in the yearly number.

"Antarctica is notorious for its wild swings in weather and climate which can run counter to global trends."

So, no other regions of the world have wild climate swings?

"Not only is Antarctica warming over the long term, but its ice is rapidly melting, contributing to sea level rise:"

Are they talking about the VAST sea ice or the continent land. Either way, guess I could get a good deal on Gore's, Obama's, Clinton's seaside mansions.

An oldie but really good, from Einstein’s old colleague, and a lefty, Freeman Dyson. Years later, he said that the way global warming would be moderated was by increased snowfall at the South Poll , which indeed is happening.

Right. The most severe cold season at the South Pole EVER is caused by ... wait for it ... Global Warming!

“Confirmation Bias”

The tendency to process information by looking for, or interpreting, information that is consistent with one’s existing beliefs. This biased approach to decision making is “largely” unintentional (but most times IS intentional) and often results in ignoring inconsistent information.

Balance - what is given in larger measure somewhere is taken in similar measure somewhere else.

From everything I have seen temperatures in north America since spring and continuing now have been warmer than temperatures in western Europe.

I watch PGA golf regularly and frequently this year I have seen tournaments in Europe with the golfers wearing fleece long sleeves in the same week golfers in North American tournaments were in short sleeves. It’s anecdotal but I bet the stats will back me up.

Global warming, has been changed to climate change. That way no matter what the weather does, it is covered by the broad termed climate change excuse. Come on man, keep up. 🙂

So, for them, yes it is climate change related and must be corrected before we all perish. 🙂

Just a journalistic warm up to refresh our memories about last winter’s global warming/polar vortex mishmash.

The lawn in my backyard hit 143* at one point during the heatwave.

The interior walls in my house were radiating at 96* at 11 pm.

Few homes here have A/C.

It was pretty toasty, for sure.

With an annual average temperature of about -47 F, I could never figure out why anyone would be concerned about Antarctica melting away. That would have to be a sustained temperature increase of 79 degrees. The only way that could happen is if the earth suddenly shifted direction and headed towards the sun........

It’s boggling that Al Gore and his world leader buddies do not appear to be even the slight bit worried about the earths core shifting about, causing true magnetic north to move several kilometers each year. I guess taxation on that natural phenomena would be hard to sell... Unless they can blame that on global warming that is.

Joe Bastardi has been calling all of this. He uses historical data to determine his predictions.
