“People Will Bury Their Guns before They Surrender Them”

Political Science Rural Sociology Though gun violence is a global issue, the risk of firearm death is substantially higher in the United States than in other high-income nations. Guns are deeply rooted within American culture; however, different subcultures exist along the urban-rural divide. Such differences between urban and rural communities related to gun culture have been dubbed “firearm localism.”

Preppers - I read peppers first trying to figure out how peppers could defeat searchers even with metal detectors. lOL

“If it’s time to bury guns, it’s time to use them.”

That’s a nice, trite, saying - but it ignores common sense that is informed by history.

You (whether as an individual, or a nation or coalition of nations) want to have reserves of unknown size and composition, and let your enemy KNOW that you have such reserves (without any specifics) in order to deter that enemy from acting against you. In the event that you don’t succeed, you will need those reserves, because you have to presume that an attacking enemy has a good plan to seize or destroy everything that he/it knows about.

A perfect example of this is the huge Soviet reserves during WW2. When the Germans invaded, their intelligence thought that there were a certain number of divisions, and that success only required destroying or rendering ineffective a larger percentage of them. Not too many months after the invasion, the generals reported to the political leadership that they had destroyed or captured sufficient men and equipment to account for all previously-known Soviet divisions - and they then asked “Why are we still fighting, they should have nothing left?” Well, the Soviets had loads more in the way of secret reserves than German intelligence knew about. See item #2 here: https://www.warhistoryonline.com/world-war-ii/10-things-russians-right-operation-barbarossa-mm.html

The same exact principle applies to gun confiscation. If you have bought any firearms directly from a FFL, you have to presume that the government knows about them. Be prepared to part with them - because they will come to your home with enough men and firepower to kill you and your family. This is the strength of the enemy - don’t fight them on THEIR terms. But if you have acquired numerous guns off paper over the years (for cash, obviously), and hidden them off your property, then they can never know how much or what you have. Store ammo, spare mags, spare parts, cleaning supplies, etc. with the guns.

Now, if the government knows that the American people have been doing a lot of private sales (and we’ve been doing it since the FFLs came into existence in 1968) and hiding guns, etc., they will be deterred. If they know that this is being done purposely to evade confiscation, and on a very large scale (like millions of us), then they will be dealing with a large “known unknown” (to use Donald Rumsfeld’s terminology). We will have introduced MASSIVE uncertainty to them, and one thing that tyrants hate is uncertainty.

Now, add to that the purposeful dissemination of the fact that we are (again, on a MASSIVE scale) compiling information about THEM - who they are, where they live and work, where their kids go to school, where they eat out, what cars they own, etc. - then we will have completely turned the tables on them before the first confiscation order ever goes out...and that, friends, is EXACTLY the point. We don’t really want to have to use our firearms for anything other than target shooting and hunting. We don’t want our houses burned down, our families shot and killed, us hunted for the rest of our lives, us having to live with the guilt of having shot someone (even if we know and believe that we had moral and legal justification) - no, we WANT to live in peace, we WANT them to leave us alone. Follow my prescription, and we have a chance of that.

“Well, there are ways to frustrate those efforts, and remember prepping rule of 3.

One set of guns can be easily taken, it’s doubly difficult with two and a triple threat with three.

One set in your safe, one hidden in space in your home or outbuilding and a third tucked away near a whole lot of scrap metal.”

This.

And the more that people do this and the government KNOWS are doing it (without specifics, of course), the less likely that they’ll ever try a gun grab.

We didn’t get to the top of the food chain because we had the sharpest teeth or biggest claws, nor even because we were the most ferocious animal out there, we made it to the top by using our brains. I think that we should do the same in competition with those among us who are our enemies, rather than trying to see whose dingus is the biggest (”if it’s time to bury them, it’s time to use them.” - how stupid).

“There are three types of guns.

1. The ones you built yourself with no Serial Numbers.

2. The ones you bought before you were required to fill out a 4473 ATF Form.

3. The ones you bought after the 4473 Form was required. Those are the ones you keep inside your “official” Gun Safe.”

Not quite. There’s a 4th type:

4. The ones that you bought after the 4473 was required, but which you either inherited, traded for or bought for cash, with no paperwork showing evidence that you possess what you now possess. Those you hide.

Then we plan accordingly.

We bury metals of varying size – small so they can’t be found and sorted out of the soil. Medium to frustrate the search and large to handle other search methods.

Then maybe sprinkle pepper around areas away from where you hid your guns then sprinkle nails in other area - in the form of a rifle or pistol.

“Stashed away for what purpose?”

To still have the means for self-protection and defense of liberty when:

1) “They” send you a letter, informing you that they know what guns you purchased over the last X years of your life (starting at age 18 or 21) and that you have 90 days to turn them in, present evidence of destruction (good luck with that) or evidence that you sold it to someone else. Otherwise, you are going to be fined very heavily and jailed.

2) “They” see that you have paid no (or incomplete) attention to that earlier letter, and send 20 armor-clad guys backed up by snipers in helicopters to your house to collect what they have a record of you owning.

The stash is for off-paper guns, however anyone may have acquired them, plus ammo, spare parts, extra mags, cleaning and rust-preventative supplies, and perhaps reloading gear and supplies. NOT AT YOUR HOUSE OR ON YOUR PROPERTY. Smart people will have the off-paper guns in the same calibers as at least 1 or 2 of their on-paper guns, so that their purchase of some oddball caliber via mail order 10 years earlier doesn’t raise any inconvenient questions.

Our enemies, the enemies of liberty, are not stupid. Evil, yes - but not stupid. We have to out-think them, and do so in massive numbers, because at any given point they will have overwhelming knowledge and force.

EXACTLY.

There is a very good reason the commies obsess over universal background checks – to make it known that they have lists. They aren’t stupid enough to think that actual criminals are going to be caught by those checks, they buy guns illegally anyway.

The point in all of this is deterrence. Make them think twice about grabbing guns because the cost will be way too high.

“You, sir, get it.”

That is a likely scenario, but not necessarily THE most likely one.

Let’s not forget that the Left (not just here, but everywhere and in all time periods) is utterly desperate to obtain, maintain and grow its power over others. In their desperation (and arrogance), they oftentimes overreach. So they may very well do so WRT the gun issue - they fear our guns, and will do anything to neutralize them, with confiscation being their preferred choice.

“If they commies know you have guns they will find them, period.

The existence of this thread tells me the commies have already won.”

1. Off-paper guns - there are millions of them, and many more can be created by those in states which don’t forbid off-paper sales. The same gun can be sold 2 or 3 times over the years at gun shows, etc. without any involvement by FFLs, and the Feds will have no idea of their whereabouts, nor will they be able to pin any crime on anyone involved if they cannot locate the weapon.

2. They haven’t won, not yet. If they had, we’d be like Australia or worse. Many of us would already either be dead or in camps. Don’t be a defeatist. Use your brains, and those of others of like mind, to outsmart these scumbags. Hell, the Founding generation had it LOTS worse than we do right now - and they didn’t give in or give up.

“They will find them and don’t forget before they search they will ask you, Do you have any guns that we might find in this search? Answer NO and you go to prison for a long long time when they find them.”

Those foolish enough to hide guns in their home or on their property may well have them found - certainly the government has the resources and technology to do that. Anyone with brains will acquire off-paper guns and hide them (plus ammo, spare parts, etc.) off of their property (and NOT using any GPS device).

But the proper answer to that question is SILENCE. If you are silent you cannot lie to anyone, so you avoid any penalty for that particular crime.

“When they come to collect those guns they know about they will ask you. Are there any other guns we might find if we search your property? They will also make it known that lying when they ask lands you in prison for 20 years automatically. How are you going to answer?”

With silence. You cannot lie if you have not answered the question.

IR will spot them plain as day. Metal/plastic doesn’t have the same heat signature as a living, or dead, tree.

RE: pack them correctly, with several layers of pvc pipe as the canister. ====
How exactly is this done? Wrap in a oil soaked rag, then perhaps garbage bag, the silicone seal the 4 or 6 inch PVC pipes that have end caps?
