I Got a ‘Mild’ Breakthrough Case. Here’s What I Wish I’d Known.
Kaiser Health News ^ | Sept 20, 2021 | Will Stone

The test results that hot day in early August shouldn’t have surprised me — all the symptoms were there. A few days earlier, fatigue had enveloped me like a weighted blanket. I chalked it up to my weekend of travel. Next, a headache clamped down on the back of my skull. Then my eyeballs started to ache. And soon enough, everything tasted like nothing.

As a reporter who’s covered the coronavirus since the first confirmed U.S. case landed in Seattle, where I live, I should have known what was coming, but there was some part of me that couldn’t quite believe it. I had a breakthrough case of covid-19 — despite my two shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the second one in April.

I was just one more example of our country’s tug and pull between fantasies of a post-covid summer and the realities of our still-raging pandemic, in which even the vaccinated can get sick.

This is a somewhat surprising article, coming from Kaiser, admitting to some truths, although half-truths, which we all knew by intuition and observation.

But the conclusions are still bunk.

Of course, I am very lucky. I didn’t go up against the virus with a naive immune system, like millions of Americans did before vaccines were widely available.

Could be true. Could also be true that the vaccine basically gave you COVID. But go ahead and believe what you want to believe.

Wow! The “vaccine” didn’t work, quite obviously, because he got the China virus, and a nasty case at that. Well so much for that expensive experimental treatment at tax payer expense.

Faith, the religious of Covid requires faith. Put it in your body, still get sick, but not as sick? Prove it? Oh, can't because it is already in the body.

And did the vaccine or someone with the vaccine give you Covid? Hey, how about some contract tracing? They don't talk about that anymore. Wonder why? Maybe because the people getting Covid are among people vaccinated and that would be a bit inconvenient.

Isn’t it the case that the vast majority of breakthrough cases are MILD?

If so, then the vaccines are working as advertised. There was never, ever a guarantee that the fully vaccinated would not be infected.

While they don’t really prevent infection, what they do is ATTENUATE the effects of an infection if ever.

This is the case with this author.

Just had an interesting conversation with hospital nurse. She had the Chinese virus and then had horrible reactions to both doses of the vaccine. In fact she said her reaction to the vaccine was harder on her than the Covid was.

She told me that one of her patients got the vaccine while unbeknownst to her, she actually had the virus. Thought she was having a reaction to the shot, was hospitalized and died.

I took the lesson to be (besides the fact that apparently no one knows what’s really going on with this) getting vaccinated while having Covid or too soon after having Covid is a bad idea.

It is also the case that the vast majority of non-vaccinated Covid cases are mild.

The vast majority of Covid 19 cases, vaxxed or non-vaxxed, are mild. So it is going to be very hard to prove whether being vaxxed reduces the intensity of being sick from Covid, since the majority of ALL cases are mild.

And yet we are told that there are all manner of ticking time bombs, “asymptomatic” cases, walking around. Unvaxxed infected people who have NO symptoms.

There is no reason to believe what these people are selling. Not one bit.

Nope. Can’t happen.

“ Isn’t it the case that the vast majority of breakthrough cases are MILD?”

Since the vast majority ARE mild, it shouldn’t be surprising “breakthrough” cases are as well.

If you are under 55. We had college students test positive and they didn’t know they had it

"Recent research from the United Kingdom suggests that vaccinated people are about 50% less likely to develop long covid than those who are unvaccinated."

EXCEPT the "unvaccinated" who have recovered from Covid...

Those Naturally inoculated are 17 times less likely to get sick again from Covid.

AND the "vaccines" have NOT been tested on that group!!!

lol--You obviously used your super-powers to visit an alternate universe in which the subject did not get the vaccine.

What about early aggressive treatment. Steroid nébuliser ivermectin Zn. Abx, D3? Probably just as effective as vaccine and you get natural broad based immunity w/o vaccine risks. Zelenko claims 99% effective even in high risk populations.
But I think many of the vaxxed are getting ADE.

But his immune system was not naive. The immune system retains some memories of other similar viruses it has encountered. If not the death rate from the virus would have been much higher.

Then why the mandate for everyone to be vaccinated? Being unvaccinated I am no more of a risk to anyone that someone who is vaccinated. If I want to take the risk that if I contract COVID it might be more severe, what business is it of anyone else?

The vast majority of "ordinary" COVID cases (i.e., of unvaccinated people) are MILD.

Did he have Covid 19 or did his body mutate the virus and he got sick from this mutation?

From what I understand the vaccine ID’s the covid 19 virus and zaps it. The virus mutates in the body - clever suckers - and the vaccine lets it through. A naturally immune system would ID the mutation as similar to covid and zap it.

Unless you’re 72 with 5 co-morbidities; then, the ride gets “bumpy”.
