I voted for him a long time ago when I lived in AZ. Liked him then.
From Wikipedia:
“That day she changed her registration to become an independent, before registering as a Democrat on January 4, 2008, the day after the Iowa Democratic presidential caucuses were won by Barack Obama.[7] Lake returned to being a Republican on January 31, 2012. She explained her leaving the Republican Party in 2006 as a reaction to the then-ongoing Iraq and Afghanistan wars. She had supported John Kerry in 2004 and Obama in 2008.[7]”
Really? This is the great conservative wave that’s going to run the RINOS out of town?
I'm cooking salmon for dinner tonight.
What are the odds?
Salmon’s statement makes me wonder how much of what he (Salmon) says is true.
President Trump made so many poor personnel choices (he has said as much) that it is a cause of concern going forward.
At the big Trump rally in Phoenix last July, Kari Lake got the loudest applause of any of the Arizona elected officials and candidates who made an appearance.
I expected something like this.
For the record, she says her husband made the Obama donation.
I doubt she complained too much over it.
The rest goes along with a liberal’s point of view, and I
think that’s who she is.
We don’t need any more John McCain, Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, Meghan McCain, or
Lindsey Graham types.
I think Trump fumbled here.
I really don’t get Trump’s or Flynn’s endorsement of Lake. Matt Salmon is by far the better America First MAGA choice and a true proven conservative.
Maybe if Salmon recommends carving Trump his OWN mountain monument, he can get the coveted endorsement he seeks.
Salmon will have to swim upstream to win it.
I like Matt Salmon but lets face it, the last time he ran for Governor of AZ, he lost to Janet Napolitano in good Republican year (2002).
Freedom Caucus has three Arizona Congressmen.
Gosar is backing Lake, Biggs is backing Salmon, and Lesko is backing Yee.
Take your choice here.
Trump made the call I’m with Trump.
I will be voting for you Mr. Salmon.
Trump made a whole lot of bad personnel picks.
As to candidates, we get to pick them. And each of us has to do our own due diligence. It sounds like Lake is questionable, to say the least.
Michelle Yee is the better choice.
Trump clearly endorsed Lake to take a shot at the RINO Aristocracy - favoring a "New MAGA" former Democrat over the establishment Republicans. Salmon might be a better governor in practice, and Yee a more effective symbolic gesture - but Lake quit TV over Leftist censorship and can become a very effective critic of the MSM and social media bias that cost Trump his office.
Trump is taking his betrayal by the RINOs personally. I expect he will continue to endorse candidates with minimal connection to the GOP power structure.
