The longest-lived person in history so far is Jeanne Calment, a chain-smoking French woman born in 1875 who died aged 122 years and 164 days in 1997.
However it may be possible to outlive her record, a study has found.
Researchers analysed the lifespans of more than 3,800 Italian 'semi-supercentenarians', who made it beyond the age of 105, and more than 9,800 people who achieved the same longevity in France.
They conclude that beyond the age of 110, when people with poor genes and terrible health have typically died off already, the chances of staying alive are roughly 50/50.

Physicists don't actually know why gravity exists, but they do know a lot about how it works.
In the same manner of speaking, doctors don't actually know why a particular person succumbs to a disease when another similar person does not. They only have statistics for that.
So while they can say they see that people of a particular category are more likely to succumb to an illness, it's not like they can walk a line up of people in that group and point out which particular ones are going to die.
Keep this in mind for all things medical, especially during this covid craziness. There is a difference between risk and consequence that many have failed to recognize.
If someone jumps off a building, what happens to them when they hit the pavement is a consequence.
When it comes to getting sick from covid, it's a risk. It is a false belief that vaccination, masks, or what not, are a guarantee against illness.
Don’t want to live that long, thx.
No thank you.
Oh great..now we can live to 130 to be tormented by Democrats for an extra 50 years.

Ozymandias comes to mind...
If I’m in perfect health? Sure. If not, forget it! ;)

There is strong evidence to suggest that Calment died in the 1930’s and her daughter Yvonne assumed her identity.
Statistics, statistics, statistics.
Each and everyone one of us is unique. What are the odds of that happening?
Exactly my thoughts. I guess I’ll live longer if I smoke my C-gars.
And then there’s Keith Richards…
Scientists can blow it out their ass. So can mostr Medical Doctors. Both have lost all credibility. Home remedies and Naturopathic Doctors is the way to go.
but they will live, only if they take their booster shots every 5 months.
Meanwhile, Social Security...
Democrats want us gone by 65, so what makes anybody think they’ll tolerate 130?
Fake president asswipe won’t see 79.
Don’t know if I have the beer money for that long.
Good thing he can’t count how many puddings that is.
