The former gets an article 32 hearing, followed by a general court-martial, followed by a period of confinement, followed by a dishonorable discharge.
The latter gets a fat pension and lucrative “consulting” gigs with defense contractors.
Does not bode well for the future of the Corps, or the United States.

I agree, and it’s really a problem.
Look, I agree that the rank and file should not be criticizing
the leadership, but if the generals are going against service
policy and really screwing things up, there should be a way
to get it out there.
Remember back when Kerry was shooting his mouth off, lying
about everyone? I don’t remember any disciplinary action
back then. And then there should have been.
