Juries are dangerous mobs of malleable morons. The selection process all but guarantees your life is in the hands of your area’s lowest common denominator; not bums from under the overpass, but not “a jury of your peers,” either.
If this thing doesn’t get killed by a righteous outcome to the internal investigation, and it goes to the courts, these guys may well be hosed for life; the trial will be a mockingly political process with “justice” pasted to it like a PostIt note.
