Anyone who rides public transportation knows that advertising is part of the package.  On the outside of buses and the inside of both buses and subways, people are bombarded with ads.  In New York, lots of those ads are from OKCupid, encouraging what used to be called deviant sex and pushing a leftist, pro-abortion agenda.  One brave woman, though, with help from a couple of friends (or helpful bystanders?), ripped down those ads while lecturing people about the propaganda being poured into them, including propaganda about COVID.  It was brilliant.

Since I've never used online dating services, I had to look up OKCupid.  According to Wikipedia, it's a "U.S.-based, internationally operating online data, friendship, and formerly also a social networking website and application."  That sounds innocuous until you realize that it caters (hard) to the non-heterosexual crowd, including (again from Wikipedia) people who claim to be "asexual, genderfluid, pansexual, sapiosexual, and transgender."

Beginning in 2018, OKCupid began running aggressively anti-Trump, anti-gun, pro-non-normative sex ads in New York.  In the last year, apparently, those ads have gotten even more political, as well as being openly obscene.  Here are examples of the ads littering the New York subways, starting with the perverse sex (and you'll see more examples in the videos, below):

It was too much for one Asian woman, who, along with a male friend (or just a subway ally), and with loud encouragement from a woman recording the event, ripped down the ads, claiming (rightly) that they are destroying children. She told the apathetic subway-riders that the vaccine propaganda from New York City is much less useful than just having New Yorkers start losing weight. She also pointed out that this is the kind of thing that leads to communism. As I said, she's Asian, so I suspect somewhere in her background is a personal experience, or family experience, with communism in China or Southeast Asia.

I am old enough to remember when Archie Bunker flushed a toilet and then walked down the stairs to his chair in the living room. This was “ground breaking” for the time. Pushing the limits as they say.

Well last night I looked up and a commercial was on (I mute the sound during commercials) and it took me a bit to understand what I was seeing. Women were sitting on toilets with their pants down! Don’t know the product but I had not realized Americans values have slipped so far down. I am just happy no one has invented smell-o-vision.

Someone who had worked in Hollywood a long time was speaking at a local church social which the Mrs. dragged me to on a cold winter evening some years ago.

The ad agency that did the Squatty Potty and Poo-Pourri ads that are considered so groundbreaking really turn my stomach. I never knew there were so many disambiguations regarding defecation. I watch a lot of You Tube videos, so I get the “long versions” of these ads. Some of them go on about crap for 2 or 3 minutes. The latest ones are for Lume deodorant. It starts with a woman in the shower saying, “How do you know your butt stinks? Soap up, wash that butt crack, then smell your hands!” I thought, “Oh dear Lord advertising has devolved into a Mary Katherine Gallagher SNL skit…”

I have noticed in recent years that movies and television shows now frequently show and have sounds of urinating, bowel movements and flagellation in them. Seeing women taking a leak on a toilet is NOT what I want to see. And also the very vulgar, profane and crude language spoken in particular by female actors. My grandmother used to say that a lady does not curse because a potential suitor will be turned off by it. There is no class, couth, etiquette, or morality any more on TV or in the movies. And don’t forget the social engineering of the feckless white male who is emasculated by his wife/girlfiend, the black man police chief, the black woman executive, the Karen-like woman who is mentally unstable and the kids who are being conditioned to accept Uncle Frank and Aunt Jack.
