On Wednesday, The Washington Examiner’s David Drucker revealed the results of a ballot preference survey for next year’s Alabama U.S. Senate Republican primary.

The poll, conducted by Public Opinion Strategies, showed U.S. Rep. Mo Brooks (R-Huntsville) with a 30-point lead over his nearest competitor, former Business Council of Alabama head Katie Britt.

The poll of 600 likely voters was conducted August 24–September 2 and had Brooks at 41%, Britt at 11%, with Jessica Taylor at 7% and Lynda Blanchard at 3%.

According to Drucker, the survey revealed Britt had “room to grow.”

“A whopping 39% of respondents were undecided,” Drucker wrote. “And, among those backing Brooks, 18% said they would ‘probably’ vote for him, versus 23% whose vote was ‘definite.'”

Alabama Republicans will vote for their preference to represent the GOP on the November 2022 general election ballot on May 24, 2022.

If the GOPe somehow manages to have KBB over Mo Brooks, I may have to sit out the general election for senator.

No Brooks has Trump’s support.

Katie Britt has Mitch McConnell’ GOP senate PAC dollars.

I believe I would vote for Mo 1000x out of 1000x over Katie.

Sorry. That should be “Mo” not no. Katie is the one that gets the NO.

The Britt name is real big in my part of Alabama.

A long-time, rich family, going back to the plantation days.

I agree with your checklist… she’s a problem to be avoided.

Oh wow!!!! Mo Brooks ahead! And he’ll remain ‘ahead’ right up until the week of the election and then, suddenly and inexplicably, pols will be released showing Mo Brooks’ lead “slipping”. No one will know the reason OR it will be attributed to something he said in 1985, something so horrendous, so vile, that the citizens will completely reverse their opinion about him.

Spot on. How many times have we seen this little game.

Good for Mo Brooks, the only politician besides Josh Hawley that tried to stop the electoral college vote.

I sent Tuberville and Shelby a letter about ATF director nominee Chipman. Tuberville’s response was unequivocal, he would not support Chipman. Shelby’s response was the most wishy washy load of crap I’ve ever seen; he will look closely but the president has the right to pick his own people, blah blah blah. I would prefer not to have to vote for one of his staffers.

Fixed.

Yep, the GOPe is far more afraid of actual conservatives than they are of Democrats.

I’ve reached that point myself. GOPe who only fights for corporate tax cuts and foreign wars will no longer even get my “better than the Democrat” vote. Sometimes you gotta go scorched earth, we have to get an effective opposition party and those guys undermine every effort to effectively push back.

After seeing the Bush-Rove support for Liz, I’m thinking its them and TX $$$ that is manipulating the GOP to go lame.
They want Turtle to stay in power for some reason and are willing to stab anyone who gets in their way.
Thrilled to hear Mo is doing well.

Agree. If a woman needs 3 names, the country doesn’t need her in power.
