And to defend our US elderly? Buying Chinese PPE products. Buying our prescription drugs made in China.

Wife and I became ill on what we’re fairly certain with COVID while on a cruise out of Vancouver in Sep 2019. We became ill about three days after flying through Seattle to Vancouver. FWIW, Seattle/Vancouver are main ports of entry for Chinese visitors. Took us a couple of weeks to fully recover.
I think the virus was spreading at least a couple of months before this athletic event.
In January 2020, a guy on Twitter, posted his experience with getting some kind of virus and being ill with it for weeks. Dozens and dozens of other people started weighing in with their experiences also, going back to December 2019, November 2019, and finally two women who believed they had Covid in October 2019, two weeks before Halloween. I followed the posts for about three months afterwards, as many more weighed in with their personal experiences from mostly Dec-April 2020. Many many reports from December. I will always believe at least two people definitely had Covid in October 2019 and anyone saying otherwise, is wrong.

I was ‘tested’ months later for antibodies but it came back negative - although I’m not sure to trust these tests.
The defector's story makes far more sense. There is no doubt to me whatsoever COVID had been released locally in Wuhan as early as Wuhan's Mid-Autumn Festival, the second weekend of September, 2019 (yes I know that's not mid-autumn, they are Chinese, it doesn't have to make sense).
This athletic tournament would have simply been downstream. What would be helpful and of course because it's helpful we'll never know -- who was the first fatality in China? The first 10? The first 100? You could do a lot with that vector information.
Same. In February of 2020 I was sick for a month. Coughing so hard I couldn’t carry on a conversation. My ENT told me to take DayQuil and NyQuil lol.
I believe it...we had co-workers come back from a business trip to China in Dec.2019 sick with what appeared the flu.
