Many Haitian migrants camped in a small Texas border town are being released in the United States, two U.S. officials said, undercutting the Biden administration’s public statements that the thousands in the camp faced immediate expulsion.

I hate to be one but the Haitians are right up there with the Somalis on the nasty scale. When I lived in Miami in the early 80’s they were coming in droves. Accounts of wide-scale releases — some observed at the Del Rio bus station by Associated Press journalists — are at odds with statements a day earlier by Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, who traveled to Del Rio to promise swift action.

I had the opportunity (?) to work with a significant number of Haitians in 1994 who had gotten stranded on GTMO while trying to use boats to get to the US.

We had to separate them from every other immigrant (Cuban) because they had every single disease known to man, to include AIDS and HIV. Everyone was scared to even work on them, it seemed they were trying to give the diseases to whomever they could.

Of course they’re being released to the states......you don’t orchestrate a designated meeting place with that many people under a bridge unless you want a crisis.....then you wait till American citizens get angered sufficiently so you can justify that you’re already set to go plans to release them, bus them and fly them anywhere in the US gets going..........now this administration will wait while people complain they’re coming to their states.....by then it’s a state problem......Biden will wash his hands of it and make more empty promises to help.
