EASTON, Pa. - Classes across the country are looking a lot different with COVID still an issue.
But even with masking & mass vaccinations, Lafayette College students are still catching the virus. Nearly ALL of the more than 2,500 Lafayette students are vaccinated, but 145 of them tested positive in just the past week.
I was really sick about a day before I got tested," said senior William Chabala.
He said he got his vaccinations and still suffered severe symptoms.
"I had a runny nose, shivers, fever, headache, nausea, really tired, really tired, I never really felt that bad," Chabala said.
The California native had little options when it came time to isolate.
So he said, the college put him in a house that is serving as an isolation facility.
"It felt like an old frat house, there were three stories. The second & third floors were all dorm rooms, the first floor had a few living room spaces," Chabala said.
He said he stayed in the home on Clinton Street with about 20 other students.
"Some people had their own rooms, some people had roommates. I know people who shared a room with three other people," Chabala said.
Chabala said school staff did check in on students, but only with a phone call.
"No one really checked in to make sure things were going well, so if someone were to leave they would have, I have no way of knowing," Chabala said.
One of my professors dropped off breakfast at 8 a.m., which was an unexpected act of kindness that really went a long way.

Visitors should be prepared to show proof of vaccination or a recent (within 72 hours) negative test upon arrival at all athletics events or gatherings of 20 or more on campus. Children ineligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine are permitted to attend events & are expected to be masked at all times. Game day staff will be on hand to verify entry status at each athletic venue.
In addition to requiring masks indoors, the College now expects everyone on campus to wear masks outdoors when in group settings.

The “vaccinations” don’t appear to be all that effective at preventing COVID.
Totally unrelated, but Easton has a fine gun store/range called The Heritage Guild.

Then ate cold Taco Bell burritos from 2 days ago.

That is VERY RARE for unvaccinated college-aged people. It’s basically a light cold for just about everyone from that group, if they even see symptoms.
I was going to a game there this weekend, but the mask crap outdoors killed it for me.
And the Heritage guild is a fine store.
It is. Get of 78 heading toward Easton and after crossing over the highway it is your second left, past the fireworks. Great store.
Interestingly enough, they have two stores in NJ.
We rented an M-240 there. That was fun, but expensive.
Huge selection there.

COVID-19 update
Visitors to campus
Effective Sept. 20, proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test is required for all those visiting campus for events.
They’re all vaxxed and they’re all shedding virus and giving it to each other.
Yup, read that. We are skipping this year. Sadly, likely my last year living around here so that is that.

That’s a shame. We have RCN cable & they televise Lafayette’s home basketball games. That’s what we’ll have to do if they keep the mask policy.
That's true but they make the people make and sell them feel better. These are some of the same people who lobby our politicians and shower them with gifts and campaign money.
How many gave fake vaccination card and are infecting the fake vaccinated population at the school. 145 students easily could have handed in fake documents. I hope they verified every card. A lot of fraud out there.

Vaccines I mean COVID jabs, DON’T WORK! Masks don’t WORK!
You can still get COVID AND the jab can KILL you, make you very sick, make you sterile, heart problems, kill unborn babies, breast feeding babies, strokes, and a host of other (possibly lifelong injuries) for a virus that is 99.? survivable.
Why would ANYONE get the jab?
People have ZERO common sense.
