Indian officials said on Tuesday they had seized nearly three tonnes of heroin originating from Afghanistan worth an estimated 200 billion rupees ($2.72 billion) amid the chaos following last month’s takeover of the country by the Taliban.

Somebody at the CIA is having a bad day.
Imagine all the American lives that would have been saved if the prime mission of the CIA in Afghanistan was to destroy the Afghan poppy seed and heroin industry. Mossad main mission in Iran is to prevent the incineration of Jews by stalling the Iranian nuclear capabilities whenever and wherever they can.
Huh.
That’s the distraction. Meanwhile, while the feds are busy showing this off, smiling and posing with their “discovery” - as to how good their skills are at “catching drug runners” - billions more worth of heroin is pouring - into the country from Afghanistan.
The profit is too great.
Ask the CIA.

Was about to post something along those lines. Something like: Bush bank accounts take major hit as CIA shipment intercepted.
So now what’s going to happen to that conspicuously large amount of heroin?
It’s not something one can just store in the “back rooms” of a police station and forget about. I expect a slow but steady erosion of this contraband over a long period of time. It will show up elsewhere.

Ten years ago I was told a story about a gift given to George HW Bush by the President of Mexico.
The person who told me this story was a born in Mexico but was now married to a US citizen and living in the US.
He stated he had worked for Mexican division of the army/secret service that guarded El Presidente. That when Bush was elected that he and some others delivered a semi truck load of cocaine to the US border. A personal gift from one president to the other.
I always thought this guy was full of crap. However, as time went by and the more I learned about the Bush’s in the last 5 years, now I wonder if maybe he was telling the truth.
