White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Monday called pictures that appeared to show a U.S. Border Patrol agent on horseback with a whip to deter migrants "horrific," but declined to say what consequences there should be for the agent's actions.
"I have seen some of the footage. I don't have the full context. I can't imagine what context would make that appropriate, but I don't have additional details," she told reporters at the daily White House briefing. "I don't think anyone seeing that footage would think it's acceptable or appropriate."
A picture by photographer Paul Ratje showed the agent on horseback grabbing one of the migrants as the man tried to cross into the United States from Ciudad Acuña, Mexico, on Sunday. The El Paso Times reported the agent had swung his whip and charged his horse at people trying to cross, shouting, "Let's go! Get out now! Back to Mexico!"

The truth at this point will not matter. At minimum the Agent will have to write memo explaining that it was not a whip and give a detailed account of the arrest and everything leading up to it. Then then patrol which never has the Agents backs will look for any possible policy violation no matter how small so that they can discipline the Agent. There are some many policies that an agent can unknowingly violate so I won’t be surprised if they find a violation. It is even against policy to buy a coffee on duty, of course everyone ignores that policy, but it is there if they want to find a reason to discipline an agent.
Is it wrong that I am WAY more concerned about the horse and hope he got water and a cool down quickly??

Yup it’s just reins. Flat-braided leather, same as the horses bridle. Not hard to distinguish if one just looks closely at the picture.
Psaki and the media in general are simply too stupid and too biased to tell the truth or even try to determine the truth. Media is the enemy of the people.

The last thing this administration wants to do is draw attention to the border, in any context. It’s like the January 6 hearings; the “truth” they want exposed is very selective because the “whole” truth would prove to be extremely embarrassing.
All of the illegal Haitians are carrying prepared food and what looks like a lifewater or a gatorade.
Where did they get the money to buy that, or are the groceries provided on our dime?
And not a single reporter asked what those guys are doing barefoot in the scrub desert around Del Rio?
And I spent a childhood north of there and didn’t go out barefoot.
