Jackson - was shot dead near the Garden Valley Estates public housing complex in Cleveland on Sunday night Police said there are currently no suspects or motive for the shooting and didn't provide any other details, Sunday night The mayor hasn't released a statement The victim has had several run-ins with police and was currently facing felony assault charges in connection with a July incident

Thanks for the link—looks like the mayor protected his grandson from murder charges.
Perhaps the victim’s family or friends decided that street justice was needed.
