One of 999 reasons never to visit Telegraph ave again. Between getting shafted by parking nazis (apparently there are unmarked spots on Telegraph which expire 15 minutes prior to the end of the paid parking day so as to clear the spot for evening parkers, I’d say it’s just a revenue grab from non-residents), to being hassled by teen panhandlers, to breaking up muggings only to be told by the police it was a good thing the perp and the victim ran off because police would be required to arrest me for assault if the witnesses stuck around (and thus don’t waste their time). I took the cop’s advice and never have been on any surface street in Berkeley since.
Berkeley was a lot more enjoyable in the 20th century.
