One lookout, one getaway driver and one guy to pound on the old ladies. When I lived on Telegraph in Berkeley we saw groups of 3-4 thugs do this all the time. These guys commute from Richmond and Oakland to rob students/tourists/etc. Strong armed robbery is a job in their areas with no stigma at all.

I grew up in San Jose. It was more of a comment on where “youths” or “Bay area men” come from.
