AUKUS: Maintaining West's unity will 'require a lot of effort', German official says, as France rages over nuclear submarine deal

Maintaining unity between Western allies will "require a lot of effort" in light of an unfolding rift between France and members of a new security partnership, Germany's ambassador to the UK has said.

French President Emmanuel Macron has so far not commented directly, but on Friday a top French diplomat spoke anonymously of a "crisis" in relations with the US.

He said that for Paris "this is a strategic question concerning the very nature of the relationship between Europe and the United States about the Indo-Pacific strategy".

He added that Australia never mentioned to France its wish to shift to nuclear-powered submarines, including during a meeting between Mr Macron and Prime Minister Scott Morrison.

The French diplomat said that Mr Macron received a letter from Mr Morrison on Wednesday morning announcing the decision to cancel the submarine deal.

After the deal was announced, Mr Le Drian told franceinfo radio it was a "brutal, unilateral and unpredictable decision" reminiscent of the sort of actions Donald Trump would take.

He said: "I am angry and bitter. This isn't done between allies. It's a stab in the back. We created a relationship of trust with Australia, and that trust has been broken."

Yeah, that got me, too.

But after further thought, he’s comparing Joe to Donald, and that is the ultimate put-down to the Left.

So let them recoil in pain and anger, I say.

Unity is over-rated when it is the unity of lemmings.

Europe was pretty ‘united’ in 1940.

Funny when someone French’s the French.

Besides, if we wanted Russia to have the designs, Milley will just email them and be done with it

The only way the West will maintain any kind of unity is for it to overcome the decadence of Western Civilisation.

Whether or not decadence can be reversed--or overcome--once it has infected a civilisation remains to be seen. Donald Trump believed that it could. So convinced was he that he risked everything--a considerable amount in his case--to save his beloved USA from destruction by the decadence. He was all but crucified by those who profit personally from the decadence or have allowed themselves to succumb to it.

If Western leaders--or populations--want to save the West from destruction, to save it from decadence, to maintain unity, their best bet is to consult with Donald Trump and establish him as their leader.

If Western leaders

With a few exceptions this is an oxymoron. Most of those who pretend to leadership are flunkies to do the bidding of the nihilistic global fascists.

de Gaulle was no fool. His force de frappe has a French finger on a French nuclear deterrent today. Who could question or blame Manhattan Projects in Poland, Hungary, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea. Biden has created a huge power vacuum. It will be filled by the above and other democracies or it will be filled by China and Russia.

It is not so much the deal between the U.S., U.K. and Australia as it is the too quick out the gate zero consultation with our allies in our largest strategic alliance - NATO members, and that lack of consultation was made with full awareness of the preexisting submarine deal that Australia had with France.

Everything done in foreign policy by the Biden administration is rushed and with little or no consultation with interested allies. It’s as if the Biden administration knows beforehand that their time is short.

France was screwing Australia. Its product was lousy and wouldn’t be deliverable for years/ Australia was fed up, and France got what it deserved.

Oceania is born with AUKUS.

“Big Biden Is Watching You”

Biden’s upset with China, the BBC Leftist are upset with China, Glenn Beck is upset with China.

All on the same page.

COVID tyranny and vaccine coercion in all three nations.

Liberty here at home is lost in the AUKUS nations.

I am not going to get all distracted with China.

Lets get our own house in order and not allow the various factions and their media distract us from the Uniparty vaccine coercion going on.

Dems mandate and Republican like Brad Little in Idaho peddle scare stories about a collapsing health care system.

All designed to coerce vaccination.

Our corrupted and increasingly authoritarian civilization deserves to die if there is a Higher Power overseeing the World but Thank G-d I don’t make that ultimate call.

Didn’t he read “On The Beach?” Of course Australia can’t have diesel-electric subs sucking in irradiated air.

Sort of like when someone says to me, “Trump is racist,” and I ask, “Exactly what did he say that made you think that,” and they usually change the subject.

I pray that He will save us from the horrors of decadence and destruction. If they are inevitable, I pray that He will give us the strength to prevail over them.

I pray for the enlightenment of those benighted souls who have allowed themselves to succumb to the decadence of Western Civilisation and all its evils.

God help us.

He said: "I am angry and bitter. This isn't done between allies. It's a stab in the back.

Get used to it. Look what the USA did to our allies in Afghanistan, leaving without notification and leaving their flanks exposed to the enemy.
