I can’t see Trump asking that question. He detested Obama and the feeling was mutual, so even if Trump had asked it I don’t see Obama answering like that. If I had to predict I would say it was probably a quiet drive to the Capitol.

I'm calling BS on the author. Obama has twice hinted at mistakes. On CNN Obama alluded to not securing more gun control as his biggest failure. Of course, it was couched as a failure due to others, but nonetheless a failure.
Separately, and again as a failure magnified by the failure of others, told the BBC that failing to secure Libya after Khadaffi went down was his biggest failure.
Obama is arrogant and a megalomaniac, but if this book said he considers himself spotless, it's probably a grandiose lie.

Obama was a very arrogant person. But that was a loaded question, even though Trump may have been sincerely curious to know. After Obama having heard Trump trash him to crowds of tens of thousands for the prior year, only a total fool would have given a straight answer.
