Texas Gov. Greg Abbott is closing entry points at the Mexican border so the state won’t be overrun as reports show thousands of illegal immigrants amassing under a bridge waiting to be arrested by Border Patrol agents.
The number of migrants waiting under the International Bridge in Del Rio, Texas, doubled overnight to more than 8,200 people, Fox News reported, showing drone footage of the massive gathering.
”The sheer negligence of the Biden Administration to do their job and secure the border is appalling. I have directed the Department of Public Safety and the Texas National Guard to surge personnel and vehicles to shut down six points of entry along the southern border to stop these caravans from overrunning the state,” Abbott, a Republican, said in a statement on Thursday.

(CNN) — A federal judge blocked the Biden administration from expelling migrant families with children apprehended at the US-Mexico border under a public health order, according to a Thursday ruling, marking a major defeat for the administration.
In a long-awaited ruling, Judge Emmet Sullivan of the District of Columbia District Court acknowledged that the ruling will force the government to make difficult decisions, but determined that there are enough measures that can be taken to mitigate the spread of Covid-19.
“But in view of the wide availability of testing, vaccines, and other minimization measures, the Court is not convinced that the transmission of COVID-19 during border processing cannot be significantly mitigated. Indeed, the government has successfully implemented mitigation measures with regard to processing unaccompanied minors in order to minimize risk of COVID-19 transmission,” the 58-page ruling stated.
The order doesn’t take effect for 14 days. The Biden administration has relied on the public health order linked to the pandemic to turn away adults and families apprehended at the US southern border. Unaccompanied children remain exempt from the policy.
In August, more than 70,000 migrant families were allowed into the US, while around 16,000 were expelled, according to US Customs and Border Protection data.
It’s a little late almost 2 million have already entered.
He has the authority to shut the entire border between Texas & Mexico. He can & should seal the border until the Federal Government upholds it’s constitutional duty to protect our country from foreign invasion

What a load. Biden’s handlers are no doubt jubilant that the judge gave them political cover to let the hoards in a fast as possible. Meanwhile, they ignore a court order to enforce the remain in Mexico policy.
This is why there are escalating COVID cases in this country.
I actually didn’t know that, but just the same, the fact that he didn’t immediately sign it is telling.

That’s grand and dandy but what is he going to do with the 8000 that Are under the bridge? He needs to push them back to Mexico and send the Coast Guard to keep them out.
