President Biden on Thursday repeated his call for Congress to hike taxes to finance a $3.5 trillion social spending bill, saying it would “restore some sanity in fairness to our tax code.”
Biden didn’t offer new policy proposals but repeated his long-standing preferences to raise taxes on corporations and incomes over $400,000 — after House Democrats on Monday unfurled a plan to raise taxes on higher incomes, certain businesses and tobacco products.
“We’re making sure the corporations and wealthy Americans pay their fair share,” Biden said.

Correct .... democrats always say they will tax corporations and the rich. Has never happened. Corporation do not pay taxes; those taxes are passed to consumers. The rich have a completely different set of rules and they pay less taxes than many taxpayers in the middle class. Is all smoke by democrats
We do have 2-3 million more mouths to feed coming over the border this year.
The term “fair share” has never bren defined in all the years since Clinton.
This is the reason why (theoretically) you should cut taxes and then make DC live within its means.
Biden gets this $3.5T bloated spending bill passed that we don’t need and only then starts saying “well we need to tax the rich some more to pay for it”.
We don’t the $3.5T bill or higher taxes. Self-inflicted wounds.
Why doesn’t Biden just use his tried and true “solution” and start printing money again?
