A leaked Zoom call between doctors and marketing staff at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in North Carolina has gone viral. It shows staff plotting to “scare” the public with inflated COVID numbers. “I guess my feeling at this point and time is maybe we need to be completely a little bit more scary [sic] to the public,” says Dr. Mary Rudyk, who served as the former chief of medical staff. “There are many people still hospitalized that we are considering post-covid but we’re not counting in those numbers, so how do we include those post-covid people in the numbers of the patients we have in the hospital?”
“We’re calling them recovered now,” replies an unidentified staff member. “From our standpoint, we would still consider them a COVID patient because they’re still healing. We can talk offline on how we run it up to marketing.”
“I think we have to be more blunt, we have to be more forceful,” says Rudyk.
“If you don’t get vaccinated you know you’re gonna die. Let’s just be really blunt to these people,” she continues, scoffing at vaccine-hesitant people.

If the hospital is concerned about spreading misinformation, perhaps it should discipline the employees that actively plotted to spread misinformation about the numbers of people suffering from COVID in the hospital. Is there anyone who thinks recovered patients, even if they haven’t been released from the hospital yet, should be included in current hospitalization numbers?

It would be nice if they would also be honest and tell people that if they get vaccinated, they also know they're gonna die. Everybody is going to die someday.

Preying as they do on the fears of the people who most look to them for help and guidance ought to be punishable by either death or a 3 hour beating by a group of enraged people.
At around 1:00 it seems the suggestion is to double count covid patients. And then later the suggestion is to continue to count patients that are actually post covid to artificially keep the number inflated.
This seems criminal to me.
Also, this is just one hospital....how many more are jacking the data up??
Their job should be treating people, not scaring people.
What the hospital’s “debunking” message fails to deal with is the fact the it’s their MARKETING department that is on the call. Perhaps they don’t have a public health department. Is that because public health is no concern of theirs?
I’m sure that hospital actually MADE people die.

All the hospitals and state health agencies are grossly inflating “covid numbers” which are as fake as the presidential election.
It’s ALL CRIMINAL.
You cannot trust anything coming out of the hospitals or the usurping regime currently occupying the whitehut.
And if it’s so bad, why are nurses, politicians, teachers, police and firefighters refusing to get vaccinated?
Also, if vaccinations are not stopping people from getting this, why are they threatening the unvaccinated with being excluded from the rest of society.
It’s time to stop following the unfounded mandates.
This is all just a big scam to control the public.
Full hospital beds make money, empty ones don’t. Empty hospitals lead to closed hospitals.
I realize the hospital is a business and wants to make the public aware of its services, but getting caught using scare tactics will undo all their other legitimate efforts to reach out to the community. Heads should roll for this.
Sounds like the hospital is happy with what was said, though. Perhaps they don’t have too many legitimate outreach efforts?

I once worked in a place that had zero tolerance for ethical “drift”. Everyone knew the standards and everyone knew the consequences.
