Abortion: The Truth About the Supreme Court’s Ruling on the Texas Heartbeat Act
The Epoch Times ^ | September 10, 2021 | Rob Natelson

Posted on 09/12/2021 6:10:31 AM PDT by Twotone

This column examines the Supreme Court’s recent ruling in Whole Woman’s Health v. Jackson (pdf) and why the left is so upset about it. In Whole Woman’s Health, the court opted not to suspend the Texas Heartbeat Act immediately, but to wait for a hearing on the merits.

In addition to agitating the liberal media, the decision has annoyed “progressive” academics. If they teach in law schools, they often belong to an outfit called the American Constitution Society (ACS), a group that is positively beside itself over the court’s order in Whole Woman’s Health. The ACS’s reaction illustrates the absurdity of the left’s response.

To be sure, ACS has a record of uttering exceptionally stupid things. Last year, the head of the organization claimed repeatedly that President Donald Trump’s nomination of Amy Coney Barrett was “illegitimate” and would “steal” a Supreme Court seat because Trump nominated Barrett in an election year. In fact, as I pointed out at the time, the Constitution requires the president to make nominations in a timely manner, and contains no exceptions for election years.

And so, in a recent circular email, ACS proclaimed that “the Right” is trying to “undercut our democracy” by urging the “packed” and “stolen” Supreme Court to reverse the 1973 abortion case of Roe v. Wade (pdf). A follow-up email announced that the court’s order in Whole Woman’s Health “effectively overturned Roe v. Wade overnight.”

To understand how ridiculous these statements are, let’s examine the relevant facts.

The propaganda media will continue to mischaracterize this because abortion is their religion, as stated in this article.

Good read.

The whine can be heard round the world when the baby killers don't get a Kangaroo Court on their side right out of the gate.

The ONLY thing the court decided was to not to issue an emergency injunction.

Idiots on the left and right think there’s some underlying message.

A heartbeat is a sure sign it is a living human being.

As for the “my body, my choice” idea, that apparently is history.

The life issues are the impetus for drawing the proverbial line in the sand. Namely, fighting those who dare to force injecting poison into my body, and those who dare to dismember the defenseless. History will judge the facts long after this unavoidable and bloodiest of wars has ended.

The Supreme Court was right on the money with their decision. The Federal Government has no right deciding anything with regard to Abortion. It was disallowed by the 10th Amendment. Harry Blackmun wrongly decided Roe vs Wade over the 10th Amendment and the 6 twisted justices who sided with him. Read the 10th Amendment below:

10th AMENDMENT

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

"My body, my choice" has been replaced by this message.
