Democrats' long-held hopes for providing a path to legal status for millions of immigrants is now in the hands of a little-known figure: The Senate parliamentarian.
Democrats pitched Elizabeth MacDonough, a nonpartisan referee, Friday on their plan to provide permanent legal status, which paves the way for a path to citizenship, for 8 million immigrants, including Dreamers, temporary protected status holders, agricultural and other essential workers.
After struggling for years to get a deal on immigration reform, and with President Biden’s sweeping comprehensive plan stalled on Capitol Hill, Democrats are ready to go it alone by including their smaller plan in a sweeping $3.5 trillion social spending bill they hope to pass...

That is an EXCELLENT point.
I read yesterday that Pelosi was on a screaming phone call with other Dems where she said the strategy was the “four Ps.” One of the P’s was “Parliamentarian,” and I wondered what that was all about. Guess we know now.
The results of the AZ audit can’t come soon enough. Flip that one Senate seat and then they Dems will need the RINOs to pass this sheet.
These evil people will stop at nothing to retain their grip on power. NOTHING.
Oh, and there is no such animal as a nonpartisan person that works in DC.
You still think we’re going to get AZ audit results? That’s so cute.
Does anyone still think that the Democrats are not working for demographic change?
The final data for 2020 is not out yet.
Trump actually issued more Green Cards and Naturalized more new citizens (2.31 million) during his first three years than Obama did during Obama's last three years.
Trump trusted the wrong people. He came from a mega-employer background and didn’t see how negatively the green card/H1B system affected ordinary Americans. But he was the best president of my lifetime, including Reagan.
Az will release results but it won’t result in overturning any senate seats. Smears, challenges, lawsuits will delay everything well past mid-terms when all becomes moot, in all liklihood.
Proof of similar vote fraud in several swing states may begin to move the needle once Rs control the US House and/or Senate, but not until AZ’s results get supporting confirmation from other states’s audits.
Remember DJT empathized with some illegal immigrants, Dreamers who’ve known no life in Mexico and elsewhere and were contributing here and now. It’s a reasonable position. Wrong, but one I consider reasonable.
Tragically, Reagan also started the irreversible destruction of American Conservatism with his 1986 Amnesty.
Bottom Line - when you get out voted in a democracy, nothing else matters.
Trump trusted the wrong people?
How could a viable candidate for President in 2016 not know that new immigrant citizens vote 70% Democrat?
In any event, I voted for Trump twice.
Reason #1 - He was the only Republican who could win a national election.
Reason #2 - I believed that Trump could postpone America's political and economic suicide for 4-8 years.
I was not disappointed - except for the fact that Trump did absolutely nothing consequential to stop voter fraud in essential swing states in 2020.
Tragically, Reagan also started the irreversible destruction of American Conservatism with his 1986 Amnesty.
***Reagan acknowledged that as his biggest mistake. And Trump tried to fix it but the swamp was dug in too tight.
I think Trump’s biggest mistake was not yanking section 320 protection from the internet platforms who are acting like publishers, and not yanking FCC licenses from the top networks due to their bias. The original FCC agreement was that they were supposed to supply unbiased news. Time to reset that agreement.
Trump’s second biggest mistake was the voter fraud thing. That lost him re-election.
I don’t mind giving Dreamers a few extra spaces in line. But the 1986 Amnesty was supposed to guarantee there would be NO dreamers, so the whole thing is just proof that the law aint the law.
Have to make up the deficit in actual votes vs created votes for Xiden
