The Postal Service is an independent company. They have been ever since they went from the Post Office to the Postal Service.
The only Federal part of them is the contributions to the Federal Employee Pension fund. Without the Postal workers, the federal pension system would have been insolvent decades ago.
They can do it because Deep State says they can.

March. It’s when I retire. I’ve had enough and I enjoyed my job for 20 years and the last 5 have been laborious. I love my customers and most are neighbors and friends but I’ve had enough of the bull-ony.
Yep. What we think of as America, is an illusion. We seem to be ruled by unseen and unknown people, never elected or under the light of public scrutiny. We call it the swamp, deep state and condemn it, but do nothing to change it- because it appears unchangeable.
It’s like never-ending maze.
