It isn’t hard to make the case against vaccine passports: Requiring proof of vaccination is unnecessarily burdensome to business and a violation of individual privacy. It is also suspiciously similar to Communist China’s social-credit system. No sane person wants to live in a sci-fi world where you have to offer biomedical information to drink a coffee or enter a church.
Amusingly enough, liberals, the people most likely to support vaccine passports, have long made contradictory arguments. For years, we have heard Democrats insist that asking voters to present identification is a fundamental violation of civil rights, tantamount to Jim Crow.
Who exactly belongs in this vast class of persons being denied the franchise has always been a mystery. Apparently, they are also people who have never had a job, driven a car, opened a bank account, flown on an airplane, received government benefits, ordered a beer, bought a pack of cigarettes or played the lottery.
According to progressives, we need ID for everything in this country except the apparently sacred exercise of our voting rights. Liberals pretend that asking people to get the same ID they need to do almost anything else is an undue burden to vote, even though non-drivers can get a government-issued picture ID in all 50 states. Yet now they pretend that using some cockamamie smartphone app dreamed up by bureaucrats in Albany or City Hall can be a requirement for participating in civilized life.

The same people blithely dismiss the possibility of voter fraud out of hand while insisting that the honors system won’t cut it for COVID. You can believe one of these things but not both.

Voter ID would impair the efficient creation of post-election mail-in ballots. That’s the main trouble with it.
How about a “Voter PASSPORT” instead? Sounds good to me. LOL.

I’m not terribly optimistic, but I’m hoping the scamdemic falls apart and leads directly into election reform, which would include Voter ID, as well as other improvements.
It would be nice if the fascists were hoist on their own petard.
That’s logical, but logic is not what drives politics today. It’s pure partisan hate.
Their goal is to control everyone. Best way to do that is to require all to own a smartphone and to carry it around and for it to restrict/allow entry in various places.
As for voting, they want non-citizens to vote as many times as possible, during their lifetimes and after.

Vaxports are definitely not okay and definitely not American in this freedom cherishing country.
The two are mutually exclusive. Dems cheat. Voter ID makes it much harder to cheat and easier to vote. The two things can’t be compared as a measure of freedom or suppression.

...and IDs to identify all the illegal aliens the Democrats aided getting into the country. The same IDs to be used to throw them back out.
How about requiring VAX Passports to vote?
Voter ID is a problem.
But not the worst.
And the NYP knows it.
With those RCV-enabled voting machines in use, even if every voter is a legal voter elections can still be stolen.
Note that the rag isn’t suggesting we go back to dumb voting machines.
The leftists pushing for proof of vaccination to do anything will have a hard time opposing voter ID…. hoisted on their own petard.

The 1/6 Patriots were not terrorists as our commie masters including the fake news media would have you believe, but they were true American patriots.
The Biden administration believes that most “unvaccinated” people are their political opponents. But elderly white conservatives have one of the highest rates of vaccinations, over 90%. This is one of the reasons we have so many here who have no problem with forced vaccinations and celebrate along with the leftist media every time some unvaccinated prominent conservative gets sick or dies.
Black people and followed by Hispanic people have the lowest rate of vaccination. Many seem perfectly content to accept free “Obama phones” or live their entire lives on government assistance. But neither group reacts well to having a bunch of mealy mouthed liberals force them to do anything.
We saw over a year of riots and social upheaval over less than half a dozen previously unknown black men had conflicts with the police that resulted in their early demise. Do you think that there will be no reaction when a bunch of young and old black people start dropping over dead after white people forced or coerced them to get vaccinated? No one give a rats a$$ other than to celebrate when a white guy of any age dies from anything from Covid to being senselessly beaten to death by a group of thugs because of the color of his skin. But the situation is different when a “person of color” dies of anything that can be remotely associated statistically or otherwise with “racism”.
The leftists are about to alienate two groups that they believe are solid supporters of their political belief system. Every action has an opposite and equal reaction.
This is another liberal over reach. Pull up a chair and grab some popcorn.
Some of these articles are a little outdated, but as you can see from the first one which is from just a week ago the situation has not changed. And the excuses given for the low rates of vaccination are almost entertaining.
