The Taliban say they will allow 200 Americans and other civilians to leave Afghanistan on charter flights, according to a US official.
The official, who spoke to Reuters on the condition of anonymity, said the Taliban were pressed to allow the departures by US Special Representative Zalmay Khalilzad.
The flight is expected to depart on Thursday from Kabul airport but the official could not say whether the Americans and other nationals onboard include those who have been stranded in Mazar-i-Sharif for days because their private planes have not been allowed to leave Afghanistan.

I was waiting for a moment like this to declare that the Taliban has “given” more freedom than the Australian government.
As an American, thinking that a government gives permission to people to do things terrifies me but my fellow countrymen also think this way.

my first thought also about discrepancy in numbers. Which also means Dementia Man and his allies have NO IDEA how many Americans are really STUCK in Afghanistan.
And we know full well Biden/Pelosi/Harris etc... families all got their cut.

The Biden administration gave its new buddies the Taliban lists of Americans in Afghanistan, but then claims to not know how many Americans are/were in Afghanistan. Has anyone in the Biden administration ever been asked to explain that contradiction?
I had a similar thought, only it was:
“Well, ain’t that white of them!”
200 is the magic number. Biden and the state department can claim they have all Americans out of Afghanistan; an extremely successful mission. 81 million Biden voters will rejoice and ignore all the other problems Biden created by arming a terrorist state.
I find it interesting that the Taliban will be joyfully working with the Chinese gov’t that has committed genocide against Muslims in china.... That must mean Muslims are okay with killing Muslims....
We’ve had about a dozen “finally had enough” moments over the last 6 weeks. Americans aren’t doing anything about and they won’t as long as the Internet stay connected, their phones work, and they can order delivery of essentials.
