I think I’m going to find a biography of Lee and perhaps a portrait for framing. He can live in my house anytime.

Lee Paperback – Abridged, August 1, 1997
by Douglas Southall Freeman (Author), Richard Harwell (Editor), & 1 more

https://smile.amazon.com/Lee-Douglas-Southall-Freeman/dp/0684829533/ref=sr_1_6?crid=3TXJ9U1ZFZERV&dchild=1&keywords=lee+by+freeman+4+volt&qid=1631154115&sprefix=Lee+by+Freeman%2Caps%2C194&sr=8-6

I found this in a Half Price Bookstore, and I recommend it- it is a condensation of a four volume set, and while the editor does present Lee in a favorable light, it is still a highly rated work.. I think that I might look for a book on Eisenhower myself.

Douglas Freeman’s biography of Lee is probably the gold standard in that category.
