A large percentage of Florida's Republican voters continue to support Gov. Ron DeSantis, but his overall popularity has been declining in recent weeks amid the surge in COVID-19, a new poll shows.
In the Morning Consult Political Intelligence poll of 4,174 registered Florida voters conducted Aug. 21-30, 48% approve of DeSantis' job performance, while 48% disapprove. A similar poll conducted from June 22 to July 1 showed 54% approval to 40% disapproval.

Also keep in mind the media in Florida is 24/7 on the "DeSantis is evil" mantra.
Same media gives props to Sleepy if he can walk across a lawn.

Demorats operate not to entirely destroy GOP candidates...only to create “doubt” to the voter....the media then drives it home to the.public once it gets it’s teeth in it.
I stopped paying attention to polls a long time ago.
DeSantis is a fine man, but this is probably going to be
the tone for the next 3 years plus regarding him.
The media can’t take any chances.
Don’t expect Snopes to get many referrals either.

For a moment, at least try and detach yourself from the “Fake News Miami NBC” poll and it’s results.
For a moment, lets just suppose there is some truth to this poll.
What does this tell you and all of us? That there is still a sizable portion of people in this country that believe, beyond all doubt, that the government is the answer to all their problems and how easy it is for folks like Soetero and others on the Left to manipulate them into believing that government can solve any and all problems.
These are the people that would gladly get on the trains if they were told it was taking them somewhere safe, with free wifi and booze. Wouldn’t question a thing.
Ron DeSantis is a great man, and I’m hoping here in CA we get our own version with Larry Elder following the recall. So I’m very interested in how it’s going with COVID in FL because I want him to succeed, and i look at the numbers every day. You’re right if you enter Florida COVID in Google you get a group of headlines that make it look like the Black Death is sweeping the state. If the words “surge”, “soar,” and “spike” were eliminated from the language, the media wouldn’t know how to report on the story.
That said, new cases for yesterday were just reported at 10,162, just under half of what was being reported in recent weeks. So hopefully they e turned the corner

The only problem with Larry Elder, which is true of any republican, especially in CA, is that all democrats will obstruct literally anything he does, and will smear him at volume 11 all day every day nonstop. Nothing positive he manages to sneak through will be reported. He will be attacked non stop like Trump was

If early polls were true indicators, Scott Walker would have been the nominee. He didn’t even announce.
Early polling does give the opposition plenty of time to mount a strong opposition, however. That opposition is typically ‘crash-and-burn’, ‘politics of personal destruction’, ‘scorched earth’.
