The rise in people using ivermectin, an anti-parasitic drug usually reserved for deworming horses or livestock, as a treatment or preventative for Covid-19 has emergency rooms “so backed up that gunshot victims were having hard times getting” access to health facilities, an emergency room doctor in Oklahoma said.
This week, Dr. Jason McElyea told KFOR the overdoses are causing backlogs in rural hospitals, leaving both beds and ambulance services scarce.
“The ERs are so backed up that gunshot victims were having hard times getting to facilities where they can get definitive care and be treated,” McElyea said.
“All of their ambulances are stuck at the hospital waiting for a bed to open so they can take the patient in and they don’t have any, that’s it,” said McElyea. “If there’s no ambulance to take the call, there’s no ambulance to come to the call.”
Yola Cancels Concerts After Testing Positive for Covid-19 DeSantis Determined to Put Kids in Danger, Fights Court Mask Mandate Ruling People getting sick from ivermectin — especially as some people take a formulation of the drug used in livestock — has become so frequent that this month the Food and Drug Administration released a statement imploring Americans to stay away from the drug that has not been approved to treat or prevent Covid-19. “You are not a horse. You are not a cow,” the agency said while linking to an explainer about the dangers of ingesting ivermectin designed for livestock.

I've got to think the doctor quoted in this piece is missing more than a few marbles.

You would have to ingest at least 8 tubes of the equine version to OD on it, and that probably wouldn’t be enough.
Fake and inaccurate.
Oh, puhleeeeeez...
This lie already posted this morning.
Gee, a medication that is not known for side effects is now killing everybody.
🐃💩
Do you know what one gay horse said to the other gay horse? HAAAAYYYYYYYYYY
Really? Rural Okalhoma is so over run with gunshot victims that they have to wait for ER space?
No one out side the Fake News can take this sort of transparent nonsense serious.

Yep. Definitely a Hoax.
When do you ever hear of ‘waiting lists’ and other surgeries being delayed because of them?
If anything, serious gun shot wounds would be at the front of any cue.
The Deep State must really be getting desperate.
PROPAGANDA!
How many gunshot victims in Oklahoma? More or less than Chicago?
Blame this on the Feds, because they will not allow doctors to provide safe doses of Ivermectin, so people are buying an d using the drug destined for horses. This long video shows controlled studies of Ivermectin with stunning results, but NIH, CDC, and many state licensing agencies prevent doctors from administering the drug. Dosage then falls into the hands of patients who only have access to the Ivermectin that is used on horses. See for yourself:

I want to see those agencies explain away the controlled studies discussed in the video.
While there are far more stupid people than I realized existed prior to 2020, I don’t think that that many people are stupid enough to take a whole tube of horse paste at once.
People who did not get the vax are discerning, discerning enough to read up on proper use of ivermectin.
To the extent that people are being stupid in its use, I would tend to think it is vaxxed people freaking out over breakthrough infections.
The MSNBC CNN Yahoo crowd will believe it though
"Message from the administration of Northeastern Health System - Sequoyah: Although Dr. Jason McElyea is not an employee of NHS Sequoyah, he is affiliated with a medical staffing group that provides coverage for our emergency room. With that said, Dr. McElyea has not worked at our Sallisaw location in over 2 months. NHS Sequoyah has not treated any patients due to complications related to taking ivermectin. This includes not treating any patients for ivermectin overdose. All patients who have visited our emergency room have received medical attention as appropriate. Our hospital has not had to turn away any patients seeking emergency care. We want to reassure our community that our staff is working hard to provide quality healthcare to all patients. We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this issue and as always, we value our community’s support.
I don’t know who their supposed “Doctor” source is but clearly not a ER Doctor because they have no idea at all of ER protocol. ER Treament is based on severity not 1st come 1st served.
A gunshot wound is going to the front of the line no matter how many mythical upset tummies from taking ivermectin are in front of them
