President Biden on Thursday said “the climate crisis” caused deadly New York City flooding from Tropical Storm Ida as he used the disaster to push his $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill.

Biden spoke after at least 18 people died in New York and New Jersey, including at least eight people who drowned in flooded basement apartments in Queens and Brooklyn.

“The past few days of Hurricane Ida and the wildfires in the West and the unprecedented flash floods in New York and New Jersey is yet another reminder that these extreme storms and the climate crisis are here,” Biden said in a speech from the White House-adjacent Eisenhower Executive Office Building.

Would spending an additional $1.2 trillion on the Dimmocommie pet causes it would surely end up funding have prevented Hurricane Ida and its aftereffects? No. So shut the heck up, Dimmocommie sleaze weasels!

NYC RISING

In New York 2140, Kim Stanley Robinson takes on one of the almost unimaginable
yet probable outcomes of climate change: that in the foreseeable future, some of
New York City will be underwater. Of course, Robinson does not adhere to the most conservative estimates of sea-level rise. But in redrawing the New York Harbor to
be 50 feet above sea level, he does stay inside what he has called, in an interview
with Scientific American, “the extreme edge of what’s possible” based on some
controversial projections of Antarctic ice melt.

All the Demorat leadership in todays briefings across the board were singing the same tune.....Infrastructure...Climate Change....and Green energy.

All which create fear and uncertainty for those who can’t think.

NYC set it’s all time record rain fall in 12 and 24 hour periods.

Rates of over 3 inches per HOUR were recorded and midtown Manhattan with 95%+ impervious cover got 7.49” in a few hours no amount of realistic pumps would have kept up with that rate of in fall.

1000 sqft of open space captures 660 gallons per one inch of rain fall.

Manhattan alone is 22.82 square miles.

5280*5280=27.878E6 sqfeet / 1000 * 660 = 18,399,744 gallons per square mile per inch of rain.

18,399,744*22.82*7.49= 3,144,917,364.0192

3.1 billion gallons in just over 3 hours of record rain fall.

Just to keep up with that amount would require pumps capable of 17,471,763 gallons per minute over a three hour period if all the water needed to be pumped out like New Orleans. Put another way in what would be river like flows.

17,471,763.13344 gal per min = 39,034.32 cubic feet per second that’s a good sized rivers flow rate.
