Former Rep. Beto O’Rourke’s (D-Texas) voter mobilization organization launched a new voter registration tool on Thursday, days after the Texas legislature approved a controversial elections overhaul bill that many say will restrict access to the ballot box.
The group, Powered by People, launched the “Drive-to-You” program, an on-demand voter registration service that will allow eligible Texas voters to register to vote from their homes.
According to a press release from the organization, any Texas voter in an eligible county will be able to call a phone number and deploy a team of Volunteer Deputy Registrars to their home, workplace or any other location to help them register to vote.

So stupid. Florida you register immediately when you get your drivers license. Works perfectly. Why can’t all 50 states do that? You’d get 95 percent of the voters that way. Texas is So dumb and wastes everyone’s time.
This is a campaign with a single goal, register illegals. It needs to be made clear that if you vote illegally, you will be deported automatically. It won’t happen, but it should.
The only problem with this is how do you verify someone? When I registered in my state I had to provide proof of ID (driver’s license with photo, PLUS signature). Just like in ‘1984’ the left constantly change vocabulary and ‘mail in’ replace ‘absentee’ despite lacking a request, ID proof and chain of custody. Now ‘abandoned’ is the new ‘stranded’. I read an article over at Powerline Blog touching on that, “Stranded (Not Stranded)”, so give that a look. Democrats own this colossal failure no matter what they choose to call it. Democrats can’t explain why it is racist to show ID to vote but not to pick up a prescription or cash a check or buy a car. They also can’t explain why Board of Elections keep out signatures on file if not to verify out identity. Ask them about that last one and watch their eyes glaze over.

I am comforted by the thought that when the SHTF these illiterate goons will turn on and kill each other long before they get within range of my place.
Texas asks if you need to register when you get your license. At least they ask me when I go in person every few years.
Sounds like they are vulnerable to adversaries phone bombing the service.
