President Joe Biden will address the nation later today – nearly 24 hours after the final American troops departed Afghanistan in a frantic exit that left hundreds of stranded US citizens in the Taliban-run nation.
Soon after the final US transport planes left Kabul’s Hamid Karzai International Airport – marking the end of America’s longest war – Biden issued a written statement saying he would address the nation at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Biden later pushed back his speech to 2:45 p.m.
The president has drawn fierce criticism for the chaotic withdrawal, which resulted in the deaths of 13 US service members and — contrary to his public commitments — left behind US citizens who were seeking to leave.

I know already this spin is going to make me dizzy and throw up.
He’s going to take “credit” for getting us out the mess GWB put us in and Trump extended. Nothing will be said about the 8 years under Obama. And the MSM will report it as historical.

“I made the tough decision to end the war. This is my truth and now it’s your truth too.”
I pledge to not tune in and suggest no one tune in.
We should all be through, finished, done with hearing anything Biden says, on any subject.
I’m guessing we’ll get a vaccine update and a hurricane update. Mixed in will be self-praise for “ending” the war in Afghanistan.
Biden will take a few planted questions, then he’ll shuffle off. Exit, stage right.
He cannot stay up that late.....

Biden will make some cheap concerned and sad faces and try to stop looking at his watch. Aide should say “Uh, I’ll take that watch until you’re done. For safe keeping.”
And the sickening trend of trying to make the Taliban reinvented as not so bad guys who became really good guys-——is infuriating.
Don’t forget that we will have to hear about Beau again. And that this was all Trumps idea.

And my eyes are wide open to the challenges my brilliant plan faces as I look to the future of world peace.
He’ll keep dishing it out until it sticks to the wall and improves his popularity.
And “it” is a few letters short of what’s really being tossed around.
