Former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO), now an NBC News contributor, said Monday on MSNBC ‘s “Deadline” that the speed at which the Taliban took over Afghanistan once President Joe Biden withdrew the U.S. military validated his decision to leave the country.
McCaskill said, “I think it’s hard to draw away from the heartbreaking chaos we’ve witnessed and the tragic deaths of our men and women that were on the front lines trying to evacuate people friendly to America and others who wanted to get out. If you back up and really look at this with a cold eye, and I think that’s what President Biden did, for the last ten years, our mission has primarily been to build an army in Afghanistan and to build security forces that could respect the rule of law. As someone who sat on the Armed Services Committee for 12 years during this period of time, as someone who did oversight and saw the rampant waste of money and corruption that was so endemic in our involvement in Afghanistan, what you really need to realize is the speed with which the Taliban took over validates Joe Biden’s decision because our mission had failed.”

No it does not, you idiot.
So, McCaskill, does our speed in subduing Iraq validate W’s decision to invade Iraq?
The Bitch is Crazy as a bed bug....
I swear one of the best elections ever was seeing McCaskill go down.
I’m sure the Democrats in MO are conferring with Democrats in California to learn the latest about voter fraud techniques - to make sure nothing like it happens again.
300 recall ballots found in the back of a car in SoCal...local news for five minutes and then nothing. I’m sure all marked “No” for recall - should have been national news.
And there are idiots who still say that the 2020 presidential election was “free and fair.”
Was she wearing her clown mask with the red rubber nose?
Demonicrat McCaskill puts out so much gaslighting, she could inflate the Goodyear blimp in seconds.
Good riddnce.
Missouri doesn’t miss Ms. McCackle...
There is a reason she is a “Former” Senator.
She got beat by spouting nonsense like this.
Not surprising about McCaskill, but what I’m seeing is that the Dems overall have decided to rally behind that empty husk that is Biden and are now doing a whitewash.
Pretty soon every media source will have glowing praise for Biden, Blinken and Milley, who between the three of them were able to achieve victory. It doesn’t look like it, you know, but it’s a different, more brilliant kind of victory. And the whole thing is all Trump’s fault anyway.
Her attempts to provide a coherent analysis only proves that Claire McCaskill is a vile woman beneath contempt.
Joe didn’t ask congress. He just did it. Trump could have as well.
Not just the enemedia, but also the Deep State leaders and spokesmen in the Pentagon.
Pull your hipwaders up around your neck; the BS is going to get deep.
Senator, America is much stronger than any Taliban “speed”. You are a POS.
Politicians & ALCOHOL are not a good mix.
Well, Claire, by that logic then I guess your divorce must validate that you’re an ugly, horrible wench.
Once again a Democrat is conflating the need to withdraw from Afghanistan with the way the withdrawal was handled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Exactly. She’s banking on most people missing that sleight of hand.
And of course Biden ensured the collapse of the Afghan gov and military by bugging out of Bagram, and prior to that, by withdrawing maintenance support. He basically shivved them. It’s becoming pretty clear that he wanted the collapse and created the conditions to make it happen. That seems counterintuitive but the ‘why’ is starting to emerge in hindsight. I think a big piece was simply a desire to trash Trump’s plans. I also suspect an Obama influence on the whole thing — he seems hardwired to want to punish foreign governments that seek US patronage, regarding them as toadies.
I don't think it's a well kept secret, people agree on the w/d and most realize that Biden botched it better.
