When you look next time please let me know. There’s a generator, made in the US that advertises a lot on tv. Cannot remember the name. Thank you.

Let’s start now and avoid the MSM rush: Biden’s a racist for the supposedly bungled hurricane response.

Looks like the path takes it through a bunch of hellhole cities clear to DC.

>>I went there in April with kids and grands. We went all over Bourbon Street and French Quarters even at night. Didn't see anything scary.<<

What? Oh man. We arrived, had the auto pulled into the underground parking of hotel, put our stuff up and headed to Bourbon street to see what it was all about.

Uh..no! I can party with the rest, or used to but Bourbon street was chaos. Lotsa rats approaching, getting all up in your space. Jive tawkin, runnin their lil games. Black gang bangers everywhere.

We left Bourbon street. Next morning was pretty cool. Went down to Jackson square, listened to a 5 piece up on a balcony. Had beignets and bought artwork from street artist. Still had to be very careful where you walked.

Biden has always been a racist. He doesn’t need an excuse.

True.

A little 1,000 watt generator and 25 gallons of gas would keep a room air conditioned and the refrigerator going for a week and cost under $200.

We must have gone when everyone was in jail, lol. I liked the street musicians. We went on a night tour of old graveyards, that was fun. My favorite was a swamp tour, saw lots of gators and other critters, and the swamp was actually beautiful.

I've seen they did run external power cables to the storm drainage pumps underground. They have local generators also for a fair amount of the 52MW the pumps, running at max, consume. But although the cables were underground the external power still failed because its grid as a whole failed.

There's a precedent for what needs to be done in New Orleans. Some was done after the Galveston hurricane, the worst disaster by mortality in US history.. They raised the entire island 15-20 feet over 10-20 years. Mostly via dredging the gulf for material. And faced it with huge rocks and concrete to minimize erosion. Must have reeked for years, but is now high value real estate. Another option is to jack existing structures up a story or two. That was done to all of downtown Chicago in the 1800s

Underground in that part of the state means underwater.

You don’t give up do you. Putting underground electrical lines in a subdivision, is a lot different than putting an entire city’s cables underground. In addition to prohibitive cost, routine maintenance becomes very expensive and outages could last significantly longer.

And you need to add this to every can of gas you fill for small engines, lawnmowers, etc. one bottle lasts a season.

The spin at the captured WH will be one of either finger pointing to trump or a media controlled love fest narrative of the wonderful things this administration and THEIR president is doing
