An active duty Marine Corps lieutenant colonel was relieved of his duties Friday after publicly demanding leadership take accountability for the deadly disaster in Afghanistan.
Lt. Col Stuart Scheller called out Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley and others for not ‘raising their hands and accepting accountability or saying, “We messed this up.”‘
‘The reason people are so upset on social media right now is not because the Marine on the battlefield let someone down,’ Scheller said in a nearly five-minute video posted on Facebook and LinkedIn.
People are upset because their senior leaders let them down. And none of them are raising their hands and accepting accountability or saying, “We messed this up.”‘

Isn't that just like a Marine standing for the TRUTH at all costs?
Bravo Lt. Col Stuart Scheller, Thank you for putting your career on the line to expose those responsible for this untenable f***up.......Thank you for showing such courage in the face of cowardice from your superior officers and Commander in Chief.
Why wasn’t Vindeman relieved of duty for the same reason???
We all know why.
Not all heroes wear capes...Some wear the Eagle Globe and Anchor.
AMEN!

Oooh RAH!
Someone needs to set up a gofundme for this guy, he gave up his pension doing this.
He learned in his basic training to tell the truth.
It cost him his career.
The only one to lose their job over the Kabul disaster.
All the balls in the whole damned Corps, it would appear.
..would he indeed be booted out of the Marines...? on what grounds...? wouldn’t there have to be an Article 15 charge or something made against him....? for Pete’s sake, he has 17 years of service to our country under his belt...even if he is assigned to the 333rd Dempsy Dumpster Repair Battalion at Camp East Overshoe someplace, couldn’t he serve out his remaining years...? or am I being too naive.....
Sounds like he’s all geared up for a career in politics. Don’t you worry about him. He’ll be a multi-millionaire before long.
I believe he said in an interview that he knew his pension was at risk, he said that even before they pushed him out
Yup I expect that was his ‘back up plan’. I’d vote for him.
Are you being cynical? Not sure if you meant it as I read it.
It’s not the “backup plan.” It’s THE plan. Read his statement. He comes right out and says that he’s already got something in the works.
Have you ever met a poor politician?
