Legislation to teach military veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder how to train service dogs and then to let them adopt the animals has beensigned into law by President Joe Biden.
The bill, allowing puppies and veterans to overcome the partisan divides in Congress, cleared the Senate earlier this month after passing the House in May. It sets up a five-year pilot program under the Division of Veterans Affairs.
“We know service dogs are a proven life changing and lifesaving form of therapy for our veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress,” said Rep. Mikie Sherrill, D-11th Dist., a Navy veteran and bill co-sponsor. “With this new law, we are addressing the high-cost barrier that prevents many from accessing these incredible dogs.”
More than 300 House members co-sponsored the legislation …

Well ten little doggies need new daddies. I never realized that the federal government was involved in puppy distribution. I suppose that by next year the cost of dog food will have increased 500% and there will be a federal doggie outplacement agency. Puppies will cost $4,000, and there will be 2,700 pages of regulations on pet adoptions.
How about stopping putting vets on drugs that cause them to commit suicide?

The doggies deserve respect. The man in the White House deserves none. The pups are loyal and will do all they can to protect their humans. If someone attacks their human, they will forget they’re little pups, and attack. When they soil the rug it’s an accident and not a leakage from their Depends. They may not be math geniuses, but the man in the White House isn’t capable of putting 2 + 2 together.
