An Arkansas jail and its health-care provider are facing criticisms of “medical experimentation” because the jail’s medical staff has been treating covid-19 patients with ivermectin, a drug commonly used for deworming livestock.
Washington County Justice of the Peace Eva Madison (D) said she heard reports of the practice Tuesday after a county employee visited a Karas Health Care coronavirus testing site at the Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville and was prescribed ivermectin despite testing negative for the coronavirus.
Karas is one of three health-care providers accessible to employees on the county health-care plan. It operates in the jail as Karas Correctional Health.
“When this employee told me that, I thought, ‘Our sheriff has common sense. He’ll know what’s going on,’ ” Madison told The Washington Post on Wednesday. Madison said she has a good rapport with Washington County Sheriff Tim Helder but was dismayed when he confirmed her suspicions — and defended the practice.

AAAnnnd.... not one case of fatal COVID in the jail.
Oh but he’ll lose his license over this even so. The price for not going along with what the FDA and drug companies tell him what to do.
We can’t have ten bucks worth of a therapeutic actually helping anybody - it would make the fauxccine billionaires look bad...
Maybe they self-identify as horses..........................
“Medical experimentation” is what has been going on with these Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) “vaccines”. Ivermectin is a very safe long-time FDA-approved drug being used for an off-label purpose in this case. Off label use of drugs is quite common. The safety record of Ivermectin rivals that of aspirin, is probably better than Tylenol. This is *NOT* “medical experimentation”.

No need for that, NAAAAAAAY!
Damn WaPo blatant bias on display!
Jails and prisons are actually excellent test sites for new drugs because they are such highly controlled environments. Get the inmates to voluntarily enlist in a randomly controlled trial, then give half of them Ivermectin (plus other supplements) and the other half a placebo.
The country of India has successfully treated millions with this drug.
IT’S NOT *JUST* A LIVESTOCK DRUG
It might be an experiment but the stuff is hardly dangerous. Maybe it doesn’t work but it won’t kill any of prisoners anyway.
Horse ivermectin is OTC, not prescription and it’s FDA approved (for horses)! He just needs to get the dosage correct based on the patient’s weight.
That’s nothing new,,,,,I know several people who have a tube of Ivermectin or HCQ protocol handy in case they get the Virus, they plan to self medicate because Ivermectin has an excellent track record as does HCQ. You can buy Ivermectin at Walgreens via Goodrx for $37.00, 20 tabs 3mg each, with a prescription and HCQ, Zinc Sulfate and Azithromycin for $71.00. HCQ and Ivermectin are inexpensive and effective with a long track record.....without side effects.....
I’m so sick of this day after day. Amazing that Americans and the rest of the world dor rhat natter have to look to India to see the truth.
The Democrats are afraid of ivermectin it kills Parasites
i LOL’ed. :)
No coincidence they trotted out the fake FDA approval of the jab and also a full-on campaign to trash ivermectin. Ivermectin is safe and works great on CV-19 and all the variants.
Ivermectin is not just an animal drug. It has been used successfully for decades to treat human conditions as well. The MSM is attempting to put out more FUD.
all drugs can kill you if overused to the right degree. Hell, its even possible to overdose on water of all things.
