The House Intelligence Committee's chair, Rep. Adam Schiff, on Monday said it was unlikely all Americans and allies would be able to get out of Afghanistan by the August 31 deadline.
"I think it's possible, but I think it's very unlikely given the number of Americans who still need to be evacuated, the number of SIV's, the number of others who are members of the Afghan press, civil-society leaders, women leaders," Schiff told reporters. "It's hard for me to imagine all of that can be accomplished between now and the end of the month."
On Sunday, President Joe Biden suggested delaying the full withdrawal of troops from the country to evacuate more Americans and allies who worked with the US and are at risk of being killed by the Taliban.
The Taliban, however, rejected the suggestions and threatened "consequences" if US troops remained in the country after the deadline.

Instead of flying over jihadis, maybe we can load up some US citizens.
If our citizens aren’t smart enough to come home, then mark them off the list and move on to the ones who have decided it’s time (long past) to get out.
I wonder if Biden will kneel and bow down to the Taliban. They may demand it.
Yet, 10’s of thousands of Afghan young males are already being distributed all around this country.
Are they good at concrete? roofing? lawn care? or just terrorism?
It’s all okay, because, Biden has more important things in mind. Like the economy and building-back-better and spending like the world will end tonight.
Afghanistan? Biden and democrats hope that the American collective memories are short, and the current Afghanistan disaster will have been forgotten by year-end.
If our leaders were leaders, then five minutes after our CIA guy left the meeting, a Hellfire would obliterate the Taliban leaders. Then our CIA guy goes to the next group and asks them if they want the same treatment.

Most Americans will be left behind to the taliban, and forgotten. biden is, however, forcing commercial airlines to fly “refugees” into the USA.
So he kills the USA two ways. By turning the job of torture, rape and killing over to the taliban. By bringing the recipe for future jihadis to the USA in the form of thousands of “refugees” who will soon send for their wiveS, who will come here on our dime, make little future jihadis who will grow up to kill Americans.
joe will get his reward for all this. He’ll be able to live in a luxurious mansion for the rest of his life, like obama, that he will not be able to enjoy thanks to the cloud of obscurity that will be descending around his mind. Jill will, however, have a lot of time to enjoy it.

He also said that the intelligence briefing told them the Afghan government would not hold for the last 6 months . That doesn’t jive with what joe has been spouting .
