Taliban Tyranny Proves the Need for American Values: Life, Liberty

America is in shock over the Taliban’s swift and complete takeover in Afghanistan. President Joe Biden incoherently attempted to justify this failure after trillions of American dollars have been spent to avoid it.

While we grieve the loss of human life associated with the Taliban’s victory, we cannot help but note the clear contrast this situation provides to the morally upright values our nation was founded upon. It is time that our woke politicians, corporate leaders and religious figures acknowledge this difference. We must end the disgraceful defamation of America as an oppressive nation.

The Taliban is a brutal regime that denies basic human rights. During its previous rule, the Taliban was internationally condemned for enforcing the extreme law of Sharia. This included barbaric punishments such as public stonings, whippings, amputations and “honor killings.” Free speech, freedom of religion and many other fundamental freedoms Americans hold dear were nonexistent during the Taliban’s reign.

Women in Afghanistan are expressing fear as they are once again threatened by the violent oppression they experienced under the Taliban. For many, this included forced marriage, rape, enslavement and an inability to work outside the home. U.S. President George W. Bush also described the Taliban’s mistreatment of women during its previous position of power. Women were routinely “imprisoned” in their homes and “denied access” to basic health care and education.

Under Taliban rule, Sharia will be enforced throughout Afghanistan once more. Those who are seen as collaborators with America, including thousands of translators, will also undoubtedly be executed – some by beheadings. Based on the Taliban’s track record, the future is not bright for Afghanistan’s people.

Is it any wonder that thousands of Afghans are attempting to escape to America? Our nation is a beacon of hope, life and freedom. Shame on politicians and corporate leaders who have joined the woke movement to declare that America is oppressive. Those attempting to flee Taliban rule obviously see America quite differently, as do others who are attempting to cross our borders in the flight of oppressive governments.

America was birthed upon the conviction that all human beings are created in the image of God. Thus, all are afforded inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This bold declaration tells the world that every human being has equal value. This equality of value means equality of opportunity. It also guarantees basic human rights regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, handicap, infirmity, age and condition of dependency. What a contrast to the callous disregard for human life routinely displayed by the Taliban.

The end result of America’s culture war will determine if we can keep our republic. We have the fundamental freedoms embodied in our Bill of Rights, which protects the pursuit of happiness. Citizens embroiled in America’s current woke cultural battle need only reflect on the Taliban’s victory to understand what awaits any nation that removes from its laws the respect for every individual.

Our Constitution sets forth the commitment to “achieve a more perfect union.” That is what makes America superior in moral virtue to all other nations in history. Our nation exists with the guarantee of equality and inalienable rights to all. To achieve a “more perfect union,” America works for justice and to right wrongs, whether such wrongs are slavery, segregation or others. This is why people from other nations seek to come here. The Taliban must use oppression to keep people from leaving. America’s promise for a better life and freedom creates a desire for people to come.

One issue that America now faces to create this “more perfect union” is in how it confronts the slaughter of the unborn. The lives of 64 million innocent children in the womb have been lost since 1973 because of Roe. The Supreme Court will hear arguments in October in a case that will determine if abortion on demand remains the law of the land. By ruling in favor of life and overturning Roe, the high court will continue our pursuit of perfection. A just nation must provide legal protection to its most vulnerable citizens.

We lament the Afghani people’s loss of life and freedom, and we pray for these fellow human beings made in the image of God. We must also pray for the protection of our American republic that stands for life, liberty, freedom and the pursuit of happiness. May God allow us to keep our American republic so we do not go the way of the Taliban.

Bin Laden warned in 2010 letter that Biden would ‘lead US into crisis
August 22, 2021
By Emily Crane

Osama bin Laden once warned al Qaeda not to target Joe Biden because he believed that his inheriting the presidency if something were to happen to Barack Obama would “lead the US into a crisis,” a resurfaced letter shows.

In the letter dated May 2010, the al Qaeda 9/11 mastermind wrote he had no assassination plots against Biden because he deemed him “totally unprepared” to lead the United States.

Instead, bin Laden urged his followers to be on the lookout for then-President Obama.

He told them there was a high priority to target aircrafts belonging to Obama and then-CIA director David Petraeus.

“They are not to target visits by US Vice President Biden. The groups will remain on the lookout for Obama or Petraeus,” bin Laden wrote.

“The reason for concentrating on them is that Obama is the head of infidelity and killing him automatically will make Biden take over the presidency for the remainder of the term, as it is the norm over there.

“Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the US into a crisis.

“As for Petraeus, he is the man of the house in this last year of the war, and killing him would alter the war’s path.”

The letter was uncovered in a treasure-trove of documents found in the terrorist’s Pakistan hideout after he was killed by US forces in a raid on May 2, 2011.

The documents, penned between 2006 and 2011, are publicly available through West Point’s Combating Terrorism Center.

Bid Laden’s criticism of Biden has resurfaced amid the botched withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan and the Taliban takeover.

It’s the poison of modern leftism. We cannot say that Taliban values are evil. Instead we have to “respect Afghan culture.”

Imagine if we had to fight WWII or the Cold War respecting the culture of our enemies.

America was birthed upon the conviction that all human beings are created in the image of God.

America was begun as a Christian nation hence, the above philosophy. We are in post-Christian America. All bets are off.

As a Christian nation, God blessed us. As we have embraced perversion (homosexuality) and abomination (abortion), God has increasingly turned his back on us.

We expelled Jesus from America and left a vacuum. Now we're going to reap what we've sown.

The book of Jeremiah is a good parallel, and Adam Clark has a good commentary on it.

One paragraph, in particular, concerning the destruction of Jerusalem and punishment of Jews: to avenge themselves on God, because he would not bear with their continual profligacy. Were ever people more highly favored, more desperately ungrateful, or more signally punished! What a lesson is their history to the nations of the earth, and especially to those who have been favored with the light of revelation!

I find it interesting that the same ethnicity of people that invaded and destroyed both the northern and southern kingdoms, is the ethnicity of people who are currently invading the USA (at the behest of our elected officials). Our end will be the same as theirs unless we, as a nation, repent of our profligacy.

More universalist rubbish. No wonder we lost.

If the Taliban is not about freedom of religion, it's about nothing at all.

They fought a superpower for 20 years and won over the issue of THEIR freedom to practice THEIR religion.

What's in a name?

mUSA, because

the God of Abraham always has a little twinkle in His eye:

Musa (مُوسَىٰ‎, Mūsā) is a male given name in the Arabic language. It is derived from a Hebrew-language phrase meaning "drawn out of the water" and corresponds to Moses.

Miriam:

Exodus 2:4. And his sister stood far away, to see what would be done to him:

La Santa María (The Saint Mary), alternatively La Gallega, was the largest of the three Spanish ships used by Christopher Columbus in his first voyage across the Atlantic Ocean in 1492..

>>>

the Santa María became Columbus's flagship on the voyage as long as it was afloat. Having gone aground on Christmas Day, 1492, on the shores of Haiti, through inexperience of the helmsman, it was partially dismantled to obtain timbers for Fort Navidad, "Christmas Fort," placed in a native Taíno village. The fort was the first Spanish settlement in the New World, which Columbus had claimed for Spain. He thus regarded the wreck as providential. The hull remained where it was, the subject of much modern wreck-hunting without successful conclusion.

It's a weird little world out there.

It's Always Something.

If your time to you is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin' or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'

The line it is drawn, the curse it is cast

It's a pure language because there are no rules, only right.

The Kennebec river formed the border between Acadia and New England. Just thought I'd toss that in.

The only thing the Taliban proves is that we need to change the way we make war.
We need to go back to a total war mindset.
Not COIN.
No hearts and minds.
Just stacks and stacks of bodies without any discrimination at all.
Our intervention needs to be an extinction event.
